I'm more geeked on the battledroid than anything I think.  The 4 "new" Jedi sculpts are all nice too, and have me fairly geeked for these sets, but overall I'm pleased with them.  Jango's disappointing but he'll make good custom fodder.  The only figures I'm really not pleased with are Mace and Yoda.  Mace really would've benefited from softgoods on his skirt piece, and Yoda's just Yoda.  I do like that cloak though, even if the hood is going to look like a dunce cap on him.

And thanks Jeff...  At least we'll get a right colored one.

I just hope we get a good helmet with movable range finder.  I've hated these molded-on range finders on all these helmeted figures for the past while.  ARC Troopers, Jango, the Mandalore Warriors...  They made a movable one on the friggin' 300th Boba Fett figure back in POTJ days.  It's not a groundbreaking feature.

These sets are going to be a pretty easy pass for me. The figures look pretty good for the most part but I just can't get excited for them. I'll pick up some of the battledroid when it gets recarded later on and maybe I'll track down the Kit Fisto set, but I certainly won't be rushing out to pick these up.

As for the Purple People Eater... That sure is one bright shade of purple. Oddly enough if Hasbro is using the source material I think they are, it is accurate (at least to that source if not to the film.) I have an old Jango poster from just before AOTC came out where he was photographed wearing a jumpsuit that is clearly that shade of purple. I think it must have been a costume test shot or something. They must have decided that they didn't like the purple and went with the blue jump suit instead. I'll have to see if I can find an image of the purple suited wonder online somewhere.

If anything though, Jango is just one purple stripe on the helmet away from being an easy mando custom.

So consider it "concept art" then? :)

That's the one. :)

These images are probably all fake anyways. Jesse your gig is up. Stop trying to pass off your customs as Hasbro product.

Should've atleast included the rainbow colored umbrella Temu danced with on the AOTC DVD easter egg.  (he did a little softshoe to Dancing in the Rain, IIRC).

The fact the new droid folds up makes me wonder if Hasbro is at all considering a transport for the future Battledroid figures?

Not the most exciting toy, but it does interact with the Battledroids well since they now fold up quite perfectly.

An odd aside I was just pondering.  I doubt it, and the transports weren't too heavily featured in the movies, nor do I recall them from the Clone Wars 3D line at all, but it'd be interesting if they figured out a way to do the Troop Transport.

Blue or purple if it was intended to be an Episode II Jango I at least know what shelf to put him on.  Then when the blue one turns up I'll put that there too.  I'm a sucker.

These are all really great sets, looks like the Yoda and the Jango are the only two suckers. I wish they'd put the Jango and Mace together so I could just skip both of those altogether! I want a couple of those Droidekas, Geonosians and Battle Droids. Feels great to finally get some SA Separatists to fight all the SA Clones!

Looks like they finally made a Kit Fisto that fits in his Jedi Starfighter.

Now if they can just make an X-wing Porkins fits in...
This is the way.

I have spoken.

I think that's a ship redesign, not the figure.

I found this quote from Adam Pawlus' "Figure of the Day" column (OOM-9 this day) funny, in light of everything:

Quote
This is the best "Commander" you can buy for your Battle Droids right now, but seeing as there's only two so far, there aren't a whole lot of options. This one's pretty cheap so you may as well get this one if you're going to get one. It's possible Hasbro may do a better version some day, but Battle Droid articulation started to go downhill as of 2002, so I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm only going to get the 'new' figures from this group, but these are all excellent (except for Purple Fett).  The Battle Droid is amazing, and it's great to finish off the Jedi.
