Man, now I'm starting to feel like I got hosed on this Fett case...

   E...

I feel bad for you guys that got no chases, but there have to be some non-chase boxes out there.  Always nice when the wealth is more spread out, but maybe your turn will come up next.  Still a pretty nice ratio overall getting more chase boxes than not.

Bastard! Lucky.  Very nice... Dale, can you confirm if there are any other differences between the regular Vintage and the J-slot chase?  Is the back rocket/j-slot the only difference between the two figures?

No other difference that I can see, just the j-slot.

if you were going to put the Boba Kubes in chronological order what would they be?

3.) Holiday Special (aired 1978)
4.) Black and White prototype armor (screen tested for ESB)

I'd switch the list a bit...  According to info from SW.com:

1.  McQuarrie concept - original concept for Fett
2.  McQ/Johnston Concept Fett - refined concept drawing to add the final helmet and armor

3.  Black & White Prototype Fett (from a screen test shot on June 28, 1978).

4.  "Color Prototype" Fett Chase (Fett first appeared at a California parade on September 24, 1978 and made mall appearances the rest of that Fall '78)

5.  "Holiday Special" Fett (aired on November 17, 1978)

6. "L-Slot" Rocket Fett (1979)
7. "J-Slot Rocket Fett (1979)
8. "Vintage Toy" Rocket Fett (1979)

9. "Droids" Boba Fett (1985)

Jeff,
Not sure I thanked you for that link, it was very cool.
Boba is one of my favorites and its neat to know the history.
I love all the differnt versions from Medicom and the history behind it.

Grabbed the blue L-slot off ebay for $169.  I didn't wait until my prediction of $150 hit, but for $19 difference, I'll take it and then wait patiently to see if the J-slot drops down to that mark.  I do want to finish off the chase, but the J-slot I can wait a long time for given the relatively minor difference.  That L-slot was just too nice to pass on.
