I think, ironically, the "Clone Pilot" wasn't who manned the gunship pods in the movie though...  Wasn't it regular Troopers inside the gun pods?

Yep, plain ol' vanilla clones.

A few e-tailers are now taking pre-orders for some new Deluxe sets...  no pics yet though:

- Anakin Skywalker with Desert Sport Skiff (I'll laugh my butt off if the "Sport Skiff" is a repaint of the 1996 PotF2 toy)
- BARC Speeder with Commander Cody
- Clone Scout with AT-RT (this was confirmed to be a new AT-RT sculpt in a recent Q&A)

Awesome! Do you have any links to those sites? I've heard the AT-RT rumors but those other two sound all new...thanks!

I don't remember them all off the top of my head, but here's the link to Brian's Toys.

Thanks a lot! It looks like the sport skiff and BARC speeder sets are slated for 10/1 (same date as dooku and obi-wan w/freeco) but the AT-RT is estimated for January 2010. Great to know!

I too will laugh my ass off if they pull out some 90's Kenner love. If it's really shipping in October and they have not shown it mesa think'n it's the Power of the 13 year old Force. After all they pulled the mini Droid tank from 99 archives. It was actually the best made up crap from that assortment so it would not bother me if it sees the light of plastic again. More power to them if they can reuse it, I may buy it if the deco looks good.

That AT-RT doesn't look too bad though.

Yeah, I'm digging the AT-RT. It's like the ROTS one and the Galactic Heroes love child.

Interesting take on the Anakin (note the sleeveless left arm). I wonder if that is an actual outfit from the second season or more offscreen/EU goodness.

I'm hoping it's something in the cartoon because I think Anakin looks good, and I think it's the only thing that could even remotely redeem the "re-issue" of that POTF2 attrocity.

I think this wave looks pretty nifty. The AT-RT is BEAUTIFUL and I already want four. The sport skiff is old, but it's actually kind of a neat thing and I don't mind Hasbro re-using it. It fits right in with this line. Cody's speeder bike is a nifty looking repaint (although I doubt I'll pick it up).

Cool stuff. 8)

LOL, the 90's skiff actually looks good and I like the extra gear Anakin has. Outside of cody and the once again reissued Speedbike I might bite. The AT-RT and Freeco Bike are definite buy the others I will have to see in person.

I have no clue what that Desert Sport Skiff is, but I'm sure I own it - somewhere.  Looks like there will be some ackward packaging with the AT-RT even though there's PLENTY of room in the packaging.  So far I'm 0 for 4 on the dlx line, and will remain 0 for 8 when this new wave hits.
