Meh, I'll still draft him next year anyway baby or not.  I'll just have to live with the secondary mancrush - Utley - for a while.

Good God I go to look at my team and they're 0-17 0-18 today... after a nice first week this team has flat out sucked.

I'll never miss the draft again.

Watching the auto-draft, I never would have thought hitting would be an issue for your team.  Patience I'd suggest.

Yeah I know.  I'm just stuck with a bunch of guys that I'd have steered clear of like Berkman and the now dropped Verlander.

My fault I know, but it still sucks.

Ok, I have to say something because I'm sure this is as high as I'll get this season...  Tied for second.  Highest I've been in the last two years...

I didn't mean to sound like I was giving up, just that I was surprised to be this high in the pecking order.  This is only my second season in fantasy sports, so I'm just surprised is all...

Don't worry, we know that.  We're just having fun with you (in case you did plan on giving up).  Baseball is a marathon more than any other sport in fantasy.  April can kill you but it can't make you win a league.  Be pleased, have fun (and send me Nathan and Youkillis, I gots a couple of guys you'd love that are currently on the DL - very fair trade).   ;)

Dammit!  I was just looking to add John Danks to my roster when it flashed on the screen that OCB beat me to the punch...  There's something to be said about pulling the trigger and not overanalyzing a move...

Thanks for that great performance today Cole Hamels!  3.2 IP, 1 K, 17.18 ERA, and 3.27 WHIP...  I knew I should have sat him until he had a few starts under his belt...

And it goes from bad to worse as Hamels was knocked out of the game after being hit by a Fielder line drive on his throwing shoulder.  And here I didn't think anything could hurt his 11+ ERA this season.

Keep him in your starting rotation unless his ERA rises higher than that of Chien-Ming Wang's.

For ****'s sake...

Quote
GAME NOTES:
PHILADELPHIA PITCHER COLE HAMELS LEFT THE GAME IN THE TOP OF THE FIFTH INNING WITH AN UNDISCLOSED INJURY.

I think he might have caught what Carpenter has...

Word is the left labial majora is wrenched pretty good this time, and the vulvular ligament is partially torn.

Doctors think babies might not be a possibility at this point, so chances of having Chris Carpenter Jr. on your staff 25 years from now are somewhere between slim and none.

Well..... I didn't take Hamels for the reason there were lots of suggestions that he might be hurt.  If it's any consolation, Webb pitched less and had no talk of injury in the preseason.

Have I declared my man-love for Chase Utley lately?
