F@$K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hasbro managed a way to get me to buy another gunship. This will be my 6th one. I have to say I dig the whole closed up look.

It's a pretty cool retrofit that's for sure. It even looks like you can utilize the turrets (old and new style) with the blast doors closed.

ANOTHER Gunship?  Oh my.  I appreciate Hasbro's efforts to upgrade the Gunship.  But perhaps it would have been good to offer an upgraded version on the last release.  That one was the Lucky Lekku, IIRC.

Nice enhancements.  I'm definitely a fan of the gunship.  Also, I'm curious what the price point will be, $50 or $75?  Probably depends on where it retails.

But perhaps it would have been good to offer an upgraded version on the last release.
I definitely agree, but Hasbro has a history of milking their molds down to the very last drop.

That is a pretty nice update to the Gunship, and I'm sure it will make it tempting for more people to pick up.  I might be tempted, but these are tough to find the space to display (at least for me), so that might keep me away.  It does look nice though.  I saw at one of the recent Q and A's that Hasbro has said that they want to "keep the Gunship out there each year", so at least they are adding something new besides a different paint job this time.

I agree, but if it was just another paint job it would have been much easier to pass. I am thinking I will ditch my ROTS one. I have 1 of every gunship released. The previous two (Lekku & Whale are my favorites.) I am keeping the AOTC one because it's movie accurate. The 2003 CW version & ROTS are negotiable. I have no desire to own 6 Gunships, it's overkill. I am thinking this will be in the $70 Y-Wing Range. The new parts will make it easier to swallow at least.

This one is different enough to warrant buying, so I have to ditch one. Man, this year is all about upgrades and upgrading my fleet. I have a lot of Tie's to get rid of already.

The 2003 Clone Wars gunship is actually one of the most sought after in collecting circles.  You may want to hang onto that one.

Not sure I really need another one of these, but the doors are sexy.

I am thinking this will be in the $70 Y-Wing Range.

The ARC is $70, but this has new tooling so I'm seeing a $90-$100 TRU exclusive here.  Seriously...

The Y-Wing is 100% new tooling with sound, I doubt they would charge as much as the Turbo Tank, the price value of the box would not be there unless this includes figures and Turrets. Guess we will have to find out at SDCC or leaks.

This looks cool but I'm sure the price will be ridiculous so I'm not getting too excited about yet. :-\

So why couldn't they do that to the Gunship in the first place?

Well if they made the super ultimate version of everything the first time around, you wouldn't buy two.  Or three.  Or four...   ;)

I don't want to want one, but I want one.   :-\

Source material from the 2008 Clone Wars series was not available in 2002.

Anyway, it's rather funny that this looks to be incompatable with the BP turrets that are coming out. Great marketing I suppose. I'm game for one ship if it's the Crumb Bomber, two or three if it's a plain Gunship with stickers you can add yourself. I imagine that the full doors are going to greatly limit the number of troops that can be fit inside.

I think these will work just fine with the new turrets due to the notch in the door to allow for the deployment arm to fit through. I don't think they're dumb enough to go through the trouble of developing a retrofitted gunship and not take into account a new accessory such as the BP without it in mind.

Yeah, looking at the turrets once again makes me think that you are correct. The angle of the pic makes the hole look very small, but I guess time will tell for sure.
