Old Man Ben's Vintage Figures
« on: June 6, 2009, 05:20 PM »
I am brand new to your boards, but a collector of Star Wars figures since the Seventies.  I just wish I hadn't ripped those first twelve figures out of their packages back then, but then wouldn't have been any fun to play with, eh?
As an introduction I am putting up a couple of pictures of my loose vintage figures.  You might notice a few prize customs in there as well.

Welcome to the boards!  Unfortunately, your pics are showing as red x's for me.   :-\

Sorry about that.  Someone will have to show me how to do it properly.  I'm a rookie at this.

You have used the code correctly, but need to put in the actual link to where your pictures are.  Can you paste the address from your browser?  It should start with http://www...

Your pics currently just show this address as the link:  http://starwars6672  And that obviously won't work without listing the host site.

Currently the pictures are in my own picture files as J-Peg files...I am able to e-mail them as attachments if that might be a solution.  I'll check out a couple of other possibilities as well.

Upload your pictures to a hosting site like Photobucket, it's free & you can display the pics with no problem.

Right click on the picture & copy the URL, that is what you need. Not the browser URL.  ;)

Should look like this.

Click the "quote" link in my post here & you will see the set up.  ;)

I am still not quite getting it.  I can see the URL that you got, but when I right click on the picture I only get a box with several options...copy, e-mail, etc.  If I click on "save picture as" I get a partial number code, but not the whole URL that you got.  What I get is 360415774_fd0297510   I tried plugging this in with the lead-in from your code but then Flickr tells me this picture is not available....so I guess I have missed something else.
Sorry I don't have more computer sense to be able to figure this out myself.

Looks like you got the pics up just fine in your earlier post.  Very nice collection of vintage!  That custom Yarna looks great - nice to see them alllined up cleanly like that.  That's a very extensive Droids and Ewok collection too.  I never got too into those - are some of them customs as well?  Thanks for sharing the pics!

I still want your custom Droids figures.  Those are few and far between these days.

Welcome to the southern folks' board OMB, good to see you.

Yes, the "Unproduced" Droids and Ewoks figures are all reproductions/customs from various sources in the USA and England.  There are still a couple more I am working on...gotta find room in the budget first.
