does anyhone know when either set is released?

The release dates will not be officially announced until the sets are posted on Medicom's website... whenever that will be.  Sometimes they get posted the month after the show, sometimes it takes 9 months to find out the release dates.   :-\

I think you'll find it was June!!!

They better not do Ree-Yees as a chase figure for this set!

Oola seems possible too but I'm not so bothered.

Well, I see that you posted a "where are the Ghostbusters" post in June, but does that really count as an update?  ;D

I don't remember seeing anything on Kubrick Nation, though I can't access that site from this computer to double check.  Where is this update you speak of, if you don't mind my asking?

Good lord, I can't believe a year has passed since then!  An entire year with no updates.  Is this typical for Kubricks?  I hope they didn't run into a licensing snag or something  :(

New Deluxe Series 1 -
Jabba's Palace Luke,

Is Luke holding the bone from the Rancor Pit?  Could we possibly see a Kubrick Rancor at some point :o?!

Yes, that is a bone and I would welcome a Kuby Rancor.

A Kuby Rancor would be awesome. A bit of a bigger pic of Luke.

They all look great.  Can't wait to see how they're boxed with the extra Jabba stuff.

So if they're sold in a box of 12, about $165 and shipping then.  Not bad, though I wonder how the packaging will be, as with Mikey's comment.

Those look excellent.  Earlier pics made me think Amanaman would be too tall, but based on that first group shot, it appears that he'll  fit in a standard individual kubrick display case.

Yes, I agree that the packaging will be interesting seeing that you get a Kuby & a piece to the puzzle so to speak.

I enlarged the Jabba & base pic, now what pieces would we expect to find with a single kuby.

My guess would be the base is in 3 pieces, the hookah, pipe, & bowl for a piece, the arms & tail for another piece as I can see a line that looks like it connects to the main body & the last piece being the body & head. What gets me is, some of those pieces are frickin large so the packing is sure going to be something. Heck, this set is going to be something!  ;D

What if they go the evil route... what if it's not 6 pieces, but more with each chase having a piece you need?  For example - what if you can build Jabba/Dais with the basic 6, but you need chases for the hooka/bowl?   :-X

Or, what it the chases build something else entirely?

That's the best part about Medicom is that you truely have no idea what they will do...  :D
