Not buying Optikk or Tytus on Monday.  Just going with a Mer Man and Walter Peck.  Next month will be crazy.  I may not buy anything in July since I have no interest in Marzo.  I'll have to see what the reissue is.  The post SDCC sale in early August will take my money though and I will sign up for the sub.

Is Walter Peck a He-Man figure?  Seems like a odd name for one.

Luckily, I found Two-Face at my local TRU, so I'll just wait until Optikk hits ebay and pick him up then. Tytus is still whatever.

After much debate I've decided to pass on Tytus, he just seems overpriced for a hollow, less articulated version of a regular MOTUC, plus he's not that visually interesting to me. I'll just be going after Peck and Two-Face, and I imagine they'll last longer than the initial 5 minute rush at least.

Wow, Tytus is still in stock.

Maybe things have changed at Mattel.

Edit:  Nevermind, he sold out at 12:07.

Luckily I had a back up plan because by the time I was able to check out he was gone. I got my Tytus so I am happy. after last months debacle I am no longer collecting doubles. Nest month is going to be a nightmare.

BTW - Optikk has completely disappeared from the site. There is no page for him so they have some mega glitch going.

Luckily got my Tytus yesterday. These sell outs are out of hand.

They really are out of hand and it's getting worse.

I have to log on with a friend who is at another location to get another chance at ordering for each other if at all. Whoever gets to the check out screen first places the order. Thanks to him I got Tytus, I would have missed him. The real ball kicker comes in when you see BBTS with 94 Wun-Dars in stock. There is obviously some out of control etailer invasion that is eating up the stock to keep these in demand. Their plan is working so I do not expect an end to this. I remember they use to last at least 45 minutes. Now if they make it past 4 minutes it's a miracle. I am surprised Tytus lasted as long as he did, 7 minutes is not bad. Next month is going to be a nightmare: She-Ra, Keldor and a Faker resisue in one shot. (Plus Peter Venkman for those GB fans that need to complete the team)

After being fed up I have decided to dump my carded collection this week and cash them in while they are hot. (Just sold King Grayskull for $140! I can wait for the rerelease of him.) I love this line but 1 set to open is enough, not sure why I bought doubles but it was a good investment as I sold alot and hooked up some friends that missed some at cost. It's very apparent they last awhile on the second run as Mer-Man is still available as was Hordak. I am tired of fighting to get stuff beyond my subscription. Not that they care but they lost some business with me. I was buying 4 sets a month on average (2 for me and 2 for my brother).

Still the figures are so awesome that I will put up with their bull**** until the all inclusive Subscription next year. They are really great figures but I have to admit I am not sure I want everything. If they keep on making oddballs like Optikk, Marzo and such committing will be a little hard. It's miss out on them vs. Matty Whitescreen of frustration.

BTW - Wun-Dar is so awesome!

Wow, you know it's bad when we're happy with seven minute sellouts!

Got this months figures, niot bad. while Optikk is still lame he was done pretty well and accurate to the old toy. Tytus is really cool, I am just a little disappointed by the lack of articulation. I understand why some was more limted but the arms should have been SA. Glad I got him and still love this line.

I am looking forward to She-Ra and Keldor next month. Keldor will be a pain to get......

The Masters of the Universe toy line is being inducted into ToyFare's 2010 Hall of Fame at the Phill Comic Con in two weeks.  Scott Neitlich will be there to represent Mattel.  There will also be a Big Toy Industry Panel before the HoF awards and Neitlich is scheduled to be there.  It's a Q&A panel so it might be a chance to get something answered.

- Why does ordering on Matty.com suck so bad?
- How come figures sell out in 3 minutes yet etailers have more than enough in stock at inflated prices?
- Is it really that impossible to combine shipping with subs and bonus figures?
- Matty the snot nosed mascot is really annoying looking. When you combine him with your horrible service after missing out on figures you could not buy it feeds into the hatred felt towards him. He exudes, like your company an air of arrogance. Will you fire him please?
- When are we going to see Clamp Champ?
