CW "Rishi Moon Outpost Attack" Battle Pack
« on: October 12, 2009, 10:36 AM »
I was really excited to see pics of the 2 new figs on the front page. Commando Droid Captain and "Shiney" look pretty sweet.

Any speculation on when these will show up next year, what wave they will be a part of, who else might be included?

I am thinking this will probably be the Wave after Aayla and Hondo (Wave 12?). So maybe next spring?

Gotta throw Palps in there pretty soon too, and plenty of bounty hunters to choose from now...

These two figures are actually part of an upcoming Battle Pack which is, I think, called "Rishii Outpost Ambush."  The other two figures included are both repacks/repaints of the current single carded Commando Droids.

Also, this "Shiney" Clone uses the new helmet sculpt that first available on the 212th Clones. The standard "grunt" troopers so far have yet to use this updated sculpt.

Wow, you are right on the money...my Rishi BP photos from SDCC were so dark I didn't even recognize them. Good call.

This to me is the "lost BP" which seems to have fallen off the production schedule somehow. It's the only 1 of the 3 new CW BP's that isn't a Target exclusive, but was originally slated to hit retail well before either of those other 2. (Ryloth and Abregado) 8/7 as opposed to 9/6.

I realize, based on the most recent QA response, that those SDCC listed dates are outright lies, but it seems like at least priority-wise they would have a good grasp of which BP's are going to be released first.

Don't get too excited, the commando droid is too small and underscaled and even though it looks alright, the smallness makes it a big disappointment.

I was going to army build, but after I picked one up I decided not to get anymore.

So you own this BP? Did you purchase it online?

I will have the Battle Pack up for trade/sale this month if anyone is interested. I ordered a case to get a Geo, Grub and Endor Pack. Unfortunately this was the fourth one in the case. BBTS says it ships tyhis month, all signs point to them getting it in this week. I do not collect animated so it will be up for grabs.

Sorry for the plug but at least it's related to the topic.

Hey, some good news on the JTA front page today. This BP, along with the other Legacy ones in the same case, have been spotted at an actual brick and mortar TRU. (Not sure where - no details given)

Our local TRU opens up in 15 minutes...I am headed over to check ASAP. Will post back if I find anything good.

Thanks, i can't read their forum at work so wasn't sure. Weird that it wasn't Cali or Texas.

I found no new BP's, but as I just posted in the other thread, I did pick up both new Deluxe Vehicle/Fig Sets. (Woot!)

Richmond VA is the center of the toy universe, at least for one brief, shining moment!

The BPs were also found at a TRU in Georgia, so it looks like they are hitting toward the east first. Can't complain about that.

Oh yeah, we were due for some East Coast love.  :D

If anyone finds this BP, please post the UPC or item # code in here so I can call around and see if any of the other VA TRU's got 'em in stock.

It's not listed on the TRU website yet, so I don't have a place to look this up.

Thanks! Good hunting!

Looking forward to tracking down this set! I wish they'd do more army building sets like this in the realistic line...

I've checked every local Walmart and TRU for these new BP's and have gotten stonewalled every time. All I need is that Rishi Moon set and I am DONE. Fingers crossed it will happen today, TRU opens in 7 minutes and should have new stock today.
