I think that Gam Guard is the first figure that I have to do a double take to make sure it isn't a picture from the movie.

It's also the first Gam Guard I'm actually very likely to purchase and add to my collection.

Not a completist by any means and only buy figures I like the look of or the character themselves therefore before now I've not gotten any Gam Guards of Jabba's Palace themed figures (bar Slave Leia and Skiff Guard Lando)

This figure looks so amazing it's too good to not buy.

wow, thats just crazy to me - but probably because I love the Jabba scenes at the beginning of ROTJ - probably my favorite moments in all SW.  Personally, I think the figures from this section of the saga are some of the best made SW figures there are.

but to each their own, right?   :)

Just ignore the grumpy old-timers, of course you wouldn't know about the vintage toys.  What I think is neat is that with each iteration I (and others) think "eh, I don't need a new Gam, the one I have is fine and probably couldn't be improved upon anyways.  And then wham-pow!  Hasbro knocks it out of the park with an impossibly good-looking figure, wayyy better than the old "just fine" stuff.

Good thing I'm at work because otherwise there may have been an awkward intimate moment between me and that shot of Ackbar.
