Hasbro's gonna need some anchor figures for this wave - it can't be purely made up of collector-oriented figures without at least a few core characters ...

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if maybe new takes on Emperor Palps or Yoda are made.  :o

Did they ever confirm that ROTJ Jabba was coming out in 2010 or 2011?  I know he would not be a figure in this wave but maybe along side this wave?  Just guessing.  Anyway I wish they would either add an updated Weequay or Skiffmaster Weequay.

Definitely, especially in this new "collector cut back" world they keep talking about.  I could go for a new Endor Chewie with "meat on a stick" accessory.   :D

Did they ever confirm that ROTJ Jabba was coming out in 2010 or 2011?

The official stance is that, assuming the new Dewback sells well, we'll probably see the new Jabba next Fall (2010)...

We do not have details yet, but we're hopeful it will be out in Fall 2010. If we do get the greenlight, it will be all-new. We'll have updated at Comic Con 2010 if such a beastie does materialize.

I'd throw General Lando into the contender list.

Sim Aloo would be a nice addition (and another vintage figure off the list).

I'd throw General Lando into the contender list.

They did drop a hint about Lando in the most recent Q&A.  A good ROTJ Palpatine is definitely worth pursuing, too.  They also hinted about Chewie and the Ewok hijackers, but that's supposed to be part of an exclusive multipack.

It just seems that Hasbro has covered SO MUCH ground with core characters in ROTJ that it's tough to keep those fresh.  Especially since we just got the DS2 Luke and Slave Leia.   I think we got the sandstorm figures last year because the ROTJ core character cupboard is getting a bit bare.

I think for ROTJ, there's some key characters (or at least popular ones) that are dying for resculpts...

- Emperor Palpatine
- Gamorrean Guard
- Admiral Ackbar
- AT-ST Driver
- Endor Rebel
- Royal Guard

These ones are also ones I'd like to see them resculpt somewhere down the line:

- Weequay Skiff Master
- Mon Calamari Trooper
- General Lando
- Mon Mothma
- Nien Nunb
- Yakface
- Wicket
- Ishi Tib
- Oola

They could also look at some more all new characters as well.

There are virtually no core characters (Luke, Han, Leia) they can do outside of repacking them.  I think Lando is likely, though I don't think we need a new one.

For core characters I'm still looking forward to:
- Jedi Luke with Sith Lightning accessories
- Vader with Sith Lightning accessories
- New Sail Barge R2 with bar tray
- Ewok Guest/Endor Celebration Leia

I'm not sure how "core" a character needs to be, but I like the suggestion on the Endor Rebel Commando and we have been in need of a revised Ackbar for quite some time.  More ewoks would make sense - we're still missing some of the core vintage ones like Lumat, Warok, and Paploo, right?  I'd like to see an upgraded Ree-Yees, and General Lando would be a nice addition as well.

Better keep up - we just got Paploo in the recent 2-pack and we're getting Warok in the '09 Battle of Endor BP.  ;)

I'd go for a new Wicket/Logray or a Wompus/Lumat 2-pack though.

Yay!  That's 2 of the 3 down at least. I'm just thinking another Ewok 2-pack of some kind would fit well with this wave.  Didn't realize those two were already coming though - thanks for the tip!

Endor Commandoes, there's 3 I'd like to see...  Sergeant in Trenchcoat ala the SS 12" figure, the blonde bearded Trooper to get a resculpt of the under-articulated vested Trooper we've now gotten twice, and the vintage Trooper with the camo coat (opened) would make a nice update to that trooper.  One could also argue the POTF2 Trooper with the closed camo coat/hood makes a good candidate as well.

For me, call me crazy but I wouldn't mind seeing Han Solo...  Yes, Han Solo.

I don't care for the ball-socket torso on him from the vintage figure, so I'd happily buy an updated figure...  He could:

-have retooled legs so his holster fastens to his thigh
-retooled torso so he's not so awkward looking with the giant hole in his back
-use the new Han likeness from the Endor battlepack to get it out a bit more.

Proper blaster would be cool as well.

The torso would be the big fix though, in my view.

Leia's a needed do-over.  I could see the Biker Scout getting more articulation if they felt like putting another one out with minor tweaking to get people to buy more of the same.

I'd not mind seeing the IMperial Scanner Tech decoed in black with a generic headsculpt and a Death Star Trooper helmet as well, for the DST's on Endor that are seen running about as well.

I think like Jayson said though, General Lando's a good bet.  And Nein Numb Falcon.

I'm okay without another Nein Nunb for a while.  I know his outfit is different, but we just got one with Wave 9 and he's one of the weakest figs in the wave IMO.

I'd agree he's not a great character, but as Dressel's said, to many he's just another guy, and Nein's flying the Falcon in that other outfit, and shorter.  I agree with that, and so it's a figure (resculpt) I'd like to see, probably ahead of some Jabba goons...

Then again, I'd really like to see some human goons from Jabba's Palace AND the Cantina/Bay94...  And they get no love at all.
