They had a pic of the Gam Guard in the slide show presentation and he does have the fuzzy stuff there. Looks waaaaaay better with that. So does Wicket for that matter, heres hoping the actual release has a more natural paint job like that one.

Naturally, Wedge is the one figure who's delayed.   ::)  Every year, it's the same thing.  The piece I'm looking forward to the most (last year it was Ratts Tyrell) vanishes into limbo.  I know he'll come eventually, but what's the deal - aren't they just repacking the one that came with the X-Wing?

Government anti-obesity policy creeps into the funniest places.  BMI was too high.

Fear not, the Gamorreans have been enplumpened by Hasbro:

P.S. That Gamorrean and Ackbar look like they were lifted right off the movie screen.

Amazing work this Vintage stuff.  Really stellar.

Agreed.  That Ackbar is probably my favorite thing they've put out in the last few years.

Just took a look at the VTC ROTJ wave slide from the slideshow and noticed two interesting things.

First, the slide identifies this wave as Wave 5.

And it comes in January!

This is very confuzzling. Being that the Ep.III wave comes in late August, what in blazes is going on here?! Are there a few "mystery waves" that Hasbro has yet to tell us of? Maybe a CV reveal?

I did notice though that the little tags underneath the ROTJ figures labeled this wave as coming in November. What's going on? Are there a few waves in between the ROTS and ROTJ waves?

Yeah I think that was a typo.  ESB wave 1 is out now, 6 weeks later is ROTS wave 2 in mid-September, and then by November 1st-ish we should be seeing ROTJ wave 3.

I think we'll find out about waves 4/5 at CV.

Yeah, which makes Hasbro's math fuzzy if it's 37 figures in 2010.

Yeah, after looking at the slide pictures, the figures are all the more impressive.  The Gam. Guard and Ackbar are two of my favorite figures we've seen out of the line, if they look that way when they hit the pegs.  Just great work there, and like Scott mentioned, has me ready for some more resculpts.  Even figures that were decent before seem to be able to be improved on so much today.

I really like the Luke, too, which is odd considering I didn't really want one or think they cared after the version they did last year.  This one appears to be the version we've been waiting for (very little buzz about it, though).  Same for R2 - this is a brand new tricked out R2 that appears to have very different proportions.  Almost no one is talking about it.  For as much excitement for vintage as there is, a lot of the actual figures (some of the ROTJ wave, virtually everything in the ROTS wave) has gone without much comment.
