EE has them up.

Wow - 11 different assortments.  That is crazy.  Looks like it's the same 11 figures in each case, you can just choose who you'd like doubles on -

Wave 3 = 2x Darth Vader
Wave 3, Revision 1 = 2x Anakin
Wave 3, Revision 2 = 2x Sandtrooper
Wave 3, Revision 3 = 2x Clone Trooper
Wave 3, Revision 4 = 2x Gamorrean Guard
Wave 3, Revision 5 = 2x Admiral Ackbar
Wave 3, Revision 6 = 2x Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight)
Wave 3, Revision 7 = 2x Skiff Guard Wooof
Wave 3, Revision 8 = 2x R2-D2
Wave 3, Revision 9 = 2x Rebel Commando
Wave 3, Revision 10 = 2x Wicket

Yeah I couldn't find anything more than the $5 off code - so I just put in my order for the Rev 4 case.

Are 11 revisions normal for a typical wave  ???

See - this is what I'm talking about - why pack Anakin, Vader, the Sandtrooper, and the Clonetrooper in this assortment at all?!?!

That means it's a wave of seven figures, make the cases 2x of Woof, Gamorean Guard, Ackbar, Wicket and Rebel Commando and one each of Luke and the Bar2-D2.

And then in the rev case, drop Ackbar and Wicket down to one per case and have Luke and R2 doubles instead.

Stupid stupid stupid.

All these duplicate/repackaged figures in one case are just a scam to make money. What happened to the good old days when you could simply get all the new figures without all the old repacks in just one case?

Unfortunately, long gone - I miss those days, when things would get busy at work, I could just order by-the-case and not worry about hunting for new stuff.

The Clone Wars line is impossible to purchase cases of - you end up with so much product you don't need.

Yeah, Hasbro doesn't care, they are catering to the big box places solely now and forget we collectors.

All I can say is that backfired on me. I haven't bought a full case of figures in years. In fact, This year, I haven't bought a full wave of figures from any SW line.

Lamo, shlamo. But Hasbro doesn't care about us. So I give them this salute: mlm
I'm just a humble collector trying to make his way through the universe...of toy aisles.

That's a little melodramatic don't you think?  OK, so maybe the case ratios aren't ideal, but I wouldn't say they don't care.  They're willing to hold a Q&A for us collectors, and definitely want our feedback.

I'm not sure what they're thinking on some of these case ratios either, though I don't think it's got anything to do with not caring about collectors so much as them just trying a new approach and not really knowing what they're doing yet. It's the same across the board with all their lines too, Transformers, Marvel the works, they're all suffering from really stupid repack syndrome. I don't mind them repacking figures in cases, but does it have to be the exact same ones every single time? Repacking popular troop builders is a good idea, like the clone and Sandtrooper, but keeping those main characters constantly available in this particular line is kind of foolish if you ask me. They don't need to repack Anakin again, he's available in Saga Legends and Clone Wars for any of the kiddies  or parents who want him. Vader too is available in Saga Legends. Pack them in 2 per case there and replace his empty slot in this wave with the Magnaguard.

I'm hoping they get the hang of these case ratios and try to improve them as the line goes on.

Yeah. repacking main characters in a collector line makes no sense.  Put them in Legacy, and leave room in the Vinatge line for more interesting characters, and cool army builders.

Agreed. I don't see any reason to release another "new" Vader. He should be warming the pegs in the Legends line.

...and a missing Yoda?  ??? I wonder what's up with that?

I'm wondering if, given the rather vocal complaints about the Yoda figure (a ROTS figure on a ROTJ card with an ESB logo), Hasbro didn't delay this one so they could put it on a more appropriate card.  Just speculation on my part, but I'd personally be happy if they went this route.

As per our front page...

First Bar2-D2 Production Image surfaces....  Clicky to enjoy!

He looks sharp.  I'm still sketchy on the smaller astromech sculpt, so we'll see I guess, but he does look very nice.

I am very impressed. He may replace my Resurgence R2's... I may have to buy one off of him.
