I'd like that Jedi Training set from the Disney parks but alas I can't seem to track that one down.

Do you want me to pick you up a set? As I remember, it's a little expensive.

Paul, thank you VERY much for the help on this next time you're there.  I appreciate it.

I actually was expecting semi-expensive considering the Star Tours figures...  Those things were quite pricey for what they were.  I was lucky to get a lot of the WEG-1618 or whatever it was (looks like some industrial droid) for uber cheap at the local toy show.

And perhaps the first glimpse of a figure for this set turned up tonight...

It's an incredibly funky orange and blue redeco of the POTJ Imperial Officer figure.

Clicky to check him out.

Very odd looking.  I'm not a huge Star Tours guy so I had no clue what this was.  I've not been to Disney since I was 12 and never been on the ride, so thanks to Scott for pointing out to me what this appears to be.

Assuming this is meant for this boxed set, I'm kind of curious what else could be coming in it.  I liked a lot of the droids they did, but this figure's not quite my cup of tea.  Will there be more interesting stuff in there?  Tough to say right now.

Actually, this is suppost to be a Star Tours Cast Member. They don't where the hat though but the uniform coloring is right. Notice the star tours patch on the right arm. Of course, they are typically wearing either all orange or all blue and not both. Maybe it's the new uniforms for Star Tours 2? If so, God help the poor cast members!

Thank you, for a second I thought I was the only one who found this to be incredibly lame...

Considering the costumes/uniforms that the cast members generally wear this one fits right in with the rest.  Not that their uniforms look particularly Star Warsy, but they look pretty Disney.

I think the figure looks fine considering this will probably only be for sale in the Disney parks.  People buy pretty much whatever is out for sale in the parks, so I doubt they'll be disappointed in sales.  Hopefully the rest of the set will be more exciting.

That's an understatement. They could have at least used the Scanning Crew Mold so he would be a Terrible SA figure. I hope the rest of the set fares better than this dude. He does look very Pod Racer "Mechanic-ish".

This doesn't bother me as much as the Power Ranger set.  The Star Tours stuff was always meant to be very, very family friendly and aimed at a young audience.  What was lame was that the Power Ranger set was that was it was aimed at adult collectors who where familiar with the source material.

A brightly repainted figure from 1999?

That maybe the worst thing I've ever seen.  I'm sure it isn't, but I hope it's a custom.

The more I stare at this the more I like him.

He looks like an Intergalactic Burger Flipper: "One POTF2 Double Rancor Patty, extra large Falleen Fries and one Kubaz Kola coming right up!

I am so making a Fast Food bag for this dude.

C'mon Rob, it was 2001. He is only 9 years old.
