I don't know if this looks smaller either. But, I love the fact that the seat has been corrected.

I will buy the snowspeeder and bespin twin pod cloud car, both are in an evolving line of hasbro products. The inside of the cockpit and canopy looks movie accurate and seems they have redocorated it with sculpted controls rather than stickers.

This offering begs the obvious question:  how long until we get an exclusive Rogue 3 version offered with Wedge?  Because Hasbro seems committed to only offering Wedge Antilles as a pack-in figure (with an exclusive)and not as a carded basic figure.

Considering all they would need to do for the Wedge is sculpt a new head for the Wes Jansen/Kesin Ommis body - and we've already gotten Wedge's gunner, I agree Nick - this seems like a no-brainer.

But there's probably no love for Wedge on a basic figure card.

Aftre seeing the Toyfair pics of this, I'm dissapinted by the paintjob.  Hell, the POTF2 version is feels more worn and torn than this one.  It looks fresh off the assembly line.

Wish there were pics in these threads.  I'm on dial-up here at home and I'm burning daylight having to pull up other sites.  Yes I'm still living in the 90's.

I'm with ya there. It's a great sculpt, but so much of the details seems lost by the lack of paint to bring them out more.

I gotta say I loved it...  Paintjob is in the eye of the beholder too.  I agree it's clean looking, but that's par for the course right now in the line I'm afraid.  The AT-AT didnt' have a lot of wash on it either.  What this vehicle DID have though, are the details that most of us aren't capable of recreating in such intricacy.

Flip through our Hasbro galleries to see the aurabesh lettering on the hull, and other details on it.

Hasbro specifically said this ship is of course an all-new sculpt, and that it is indeed sculpted "smaller and to-scale" during their presentation.  It's got so much uber detailing in the sculpting though, from the quilted headliner to the controls to the harppon, that I think a lot of folks will get past the lack of weathering.

It's an issue, but so minor on my list after you check out what they DID do.  They were very nice about opening the cockpit for us for pictures too.  Check out the gallery because there's a lot of coolness there.

BTW I'm kind of glad I took a closer look at the graphics on the Rebel Speeder...  Check out the front page www.JediDefender.com to see what I mean, but suffice to say Hasbro snuck us another Easter egg or two (or more ;) ).

We kept our pictures big for the extra detail, so posting them in the threads will throw off the forum/tables for most people (causing side-scrolling).  Just buy the damn high-speed internet and get over it already...  ::)

Yeah, that pic you had was great.  I'm glad you were able to decipher it - cool easter egg there.  :)

My friend calls HS Internet the "porn pipe", but yeah it's worth it for other stuff too. :)

I couldn't fathom trying to deal with a ton o pics on dial-up anymore, especially even just the way graphics are on sites anymore.  That's gotta be some slow-going iFett, so definitely a good thing to upgrade to if you can.

I usually do all my main surfing at work (porn not included) and my ol dial up at home actually isn't too shabby, but ya...I need to upgrade someday.  It's cheap though and I have lots of toys to buy.   ;)  Anywhooo...

Yeah, and I really don't understand why?  If they can release Dack/Dak on a vinty card surely Wedge would sell as well if not a bit better.  Oh well.  Whatever.  I am used to it by now.

Wedge'll do good I think on a card someday, but I think Dak really has the army builder thing going on too... I've wanted generic Hoth and regular Reb pilots for ages.  I hope he leads to a blue-emblem "generic" X-WInger someday.

I can't wait to outfit my Hoth shelf with lots of Dak though, and that speeder's gonna probably cost me a bit this year.  It's got one flaw, the harpoon, but otherwise I'm pretty content and I'm thinking I'm going to just whip up harpoon guns on my own or whatnot.
