I gotta say, I'm shocked so few are talking about this item...

After Toy Fair I was really impressed.  Check out the Hasbro Galleries for some detailed shots of the beast because it's another home run by Hasbro.

The prototype images we posted a while back were nice, but the painted final vehicle really highlights the sculpt detailing.  The seatbelt straps are fantastic, there's lots of screens and handles.  As much as I loved the Snowspeeder, I really thought this was an equally well done Prequal vehicle...  I'm hoping to nab 2 for my Star Corps Troopers to cruise in but I'll have to custom up some drivers I guess.

This one really was nice though.  Lots of details that were tough to catch but I think we got some good photos of it.

I have to agree apart from the AT-AT the swamp speeder is like the second flagship of the small line up that was.
this thing is off the chart.

I think that's because so many pre-production images had already been leaked well in advance of ToyFair. It just didn't have the buzz going that the AT-AT did.

Also, a lot of people (such as myself) have no recollection of this from the films and are still waiting for it to show up in the animated series. (other than as a minor background detail). There's just no "wow factor" in terms of anticipation.

I know I'm in a minority of 1 on this, but I think there could have been a lot more hype generated from unveiling a new "BIG" TCW vehicle. You know, like the Twilight.  ;D

I agree there was lots of leaked photo's.
but even tho its not really featured in the film or the clone wars it's still a clone vehicle and i hope to nab my self 4 of them.
and rebelscum.com ran a poll a while ago

Which of the following Clone Wars vehicles would you most like to see added to the 3 3/4" line up?

For the Republic Swamp Speeder, is the paint deco Episode III (film) accurate?  Or is it painted up like like something from the cartoon or in some made-up EU sort of way?

That post wasn't okay in the general CW vehicle discussion thread?   ???

Well, is it a general vehicle question or is it a swamp speeder specific question?  :P

In answer to your question - it appears the deco is based on the Kashyyyk version of the ship...

but since the Coruscant or Felucia versions are so hard to spot in the film, it could be accurate to one of those too.

Touche... I just didn't want to bump a year old thread (which for the record, I searched for) to ask.

As long as it's movie style paint, I'll pick one up.

I don't blame you... I blame Jesse for putting the new boxed pic in the wrong thread.  ;)

*shrugs*

I was short on time? :)

I think I saw a production shot of the Swamp Speeder from Felucia once and it's the same thing (I think)...  It was like a dumbed down shot of the Felucia scene with limited effects but the vehicles were in the shot and complete or something.

Here it is too, to make up for my laziness:

The general consensus should be an over whelming excitement due to the fact that they even bothered to make said vehicle.
In other word's stress less about the accuracy of the paint job.

What took them so long, actually. It was one of the few midsized vehicles in ROTS , and one for clones, at that. Seems like it should've been made before, say the AT-AP, which had to be scaled down.

Which im not happy about but maybe we will get a scaled one in the future and have to rebuy it all over again. :)

Can we get some more details on the front page blurb?

Where was this spotted - Canada? Which store?

I'd love to hear more about this...really psyched about this vehicle.
