Yeah, it sounds like stuff is getting pushed out to 2011 for the "relaunch" of the line, so I'm wondering if we'll see anything new in the way of basic figures the rest of the year?  It looks like the majority of what I'd like to get from the movie line (Black Widow, Whiplash, Fury, Drones) is coming in the way of various multipacks anyways.

Nothing is moving with this line at Target/WM/TRU so unless they do a price cut or clearance I can't see anything happening at retail in 2011 with this massive glut.  I gave this line a try and they were kinda cool, but just not my cup of tea.  Hope everything works out for this line and those of you who dig it.

Whiplash is up on HTS.com for those interested.

Don't forget COMIC2010 code for a massive 10% discount.  Just grabbed mine and Ronin from Marvel Universe.

If they're smart, they'll pack in the Hammer Drones for 2011 wave 1 at least 2 per case. If they're smart. Not holding my breath though. The battle pack idea is equally good, but I really can't see them doing that. They'd have to throw another IM in there somewhere to justify it.

Thanks for the heads up.  I went ahead and ordered one, because with the pegs being so full locally, I just don't see them making it to retail around here.

Speaking of Whiplash ... I saw one (and two Fusion Armor Iron Mans) on the pegs today at a local Wal-Mart.

I'm gonna skip the single carded release and try for the battle pack version instead, since it also includes a drone.

I'm passing on the HTS.com Whiplash.

I still think the likeness is not good.

meh gonna pass for now.

Had they come out when the movie come out I probably would not have been able to control myself.

But now 4 months later, Vintage Star Wars release is able to control me.

Plus, I love how they have to fling another Iron Man in that pack that we already have.  I hate buying redundant figures that I don't need for anything else.

I am not 100% certain, but I am pretty sure that the Iron Man in that pack has more accurate paint apps than it its single carded release.  I think it has the same apps as the Hall of Armor Target exclusive verion.

Yeah, I noticed that too, at least if the picture at TRU.com is to be believed.  It has the silver "highlights" in areas that is a little more accurate, and like you said, was on the Hall of Armor release (and the 6" WM version as well).

There's an image of the armored version of Whiplash in the new Diamond Previews.  I'm kind of surprised that it hasn't been talked about so far.

The figure was shown at Comic Con, though I don't think a lot of people were talking about it then, either.
