Wow, that video brings back some awesome memories... I got the that for Christmas in 87.  Loved it.

Also, about half the Walmarts in my area don't carry the line either, hopefully they will in January... but I'm getting nervous thinking that if I get a lot of stuff, then I'll want to replace it with the figures coming out for the movie in 09...

I saw a new wave listed in the latest issue of Toyfare.  It's got Flash, Snake Eyes (original uni in black), a Crimson Guard, Iron Grenadiers Destro and Snowjob.  This line is getting tougher to resist with the quality of the figures.

That's Wave 5 you're referring to... pics surfaced a while ago, and these are now hitting actually...

I managed to find a Crimson Guard the other day, but really want the Destro.

Wave 6 also has some cool treats in store -

I haven't seen anyone mention the Torch and Ripper 2 pack or the removable helmet crimson guard.  They all look super.

The Dreadnocks do look fantastic... what I'm wanting to do though with my Joes is make a photonovel reminiscent of the first attack on Cobra Island... then I'll probably sell off all my Joes actually.

According to the Hasbro 411 at CTR, here's how Joes are shaping up for 2008:

-24 Single Carded Figures
-18 Comic Two Packs
-Battle Packs (5 Packs of Four Figures Each)
-10 Vehicles
-12" Figures

That seems to be about a perfect load for this line before the movie stuff starts coming out.  Can't wait to see what the other 7 vehicles will be.  Hopefully Hasbro be able to revisit this line after the movie stuff just like they did with TF Classics.

Vehicles... I wonder if the HISS will be larger so figures can actually sit in it properly.

Pics of the first 3 (Target) vehicles came out a few months back no?  The HISS didn't look any bigger than any of the other previous releases and I really can't see Hasbro releasing two different sized versions of this vehicle in the same year.

Where did you see the comic packs at?

I found them at TRU today CHEWIE.

Storm Shadow/Snake eyes color scheme was alright, Scarlet was different but decent.  Cobra Commander/Duke was kinda weird, but I didn't think any were all that hideous.  They didn't really go the whole 9 with the bizarre color scheme like the Star Wars 2 packs (RFT/Vader, Tarkin/Stormie etc).

Then again, I didn't buy them either.
