TNI is reporting that Hasbro has reaquired the rights to the GI Joe cartoon along with Transformers, My Little Pony and some others.

Maybe we'll get the GI Joe cartoons on DVD out of this!

That is really great news.  I hope that means we'll see a re-appearance (or all new versions) of the DVD season sets for Joe (and Transformers).  It would be great timing to release at least one volume with each having movies next summer.

Ya, I'm actually really suprised that Hasbro didn't do this last year with the Transformer flick.  Maybe they were just waiting to line this up with both movies next year or perhaps they thought the movie would flop for some reason?  I paid retail for all of the Transformer sets, but had to shell out $100 for the final set (seson 3 pt2/season 4 pt1)

I really had no interest in the Joe sets when they were out a few years ago, but I think my thoughts on that has changed since I've been full bore with the new Joe line.   :)

That's great news. I'll hold off on buying that Chinese import of Transformers until I hear what's going on.

I have the first season of GI Joe, but I'd really like the second season since that has more of my favorite Joes in it.  :)

Anyone catch the footage on Yahoo of the guy that built his own jetpack and flew over the Alps with it?

It reminded me so much of so many G.I. Joe items.  Namely the Cobra jet Glider, and the GIJ/Cobra foam gliders (coolest Joe toys IMO because they functioned so well).

Anyway, I found it interesting...  Made me think about some of the better Joe toys of old.

The C.L.A.W.  That was the first thing I thought of when I saw that on the news last night.

Picked up the following for The Dealer:
4 Snake Eyes
5 Vipers
3 Dukes
2 Wild Bills
2 Spirits
2 HISS Drivers

I had to crack open a Duke and Viper to solve transportation issues. Pretty cool figures, and the Viper makes me want to start collecting Joes for the third (or fourth) time.

I hope we get some classic designs before they get all "Movie" looks... those Combat Heroes are gonna be neat.

Oh snap, more Joe stuff to buy?

As neat as that looks, I might have to pass on them since I spend way too much as it is.

I kind of like that Cobra Commander figure... I wish it wasn't an exclusive.

People started finding wave 8 in Arizona and California today at WalMarts from what I read on other sites.
