It's not a matter of what you see, but what's possible...  I like the straps on the Bespin Luke for instance, and it keeps the holster moving with Luke's thigh as well, when posing him.  That's a big plus to me since, when Han's sitting say in your Cantina, the holster "hovers" and the thigh-strap's there disconnected.  Kind of goofy looking to me.

The vest...  Just personal preference for me.  It's doable, so I appreciate when it's done...  It's like Bespin Han's coat.  It could be molded on, but it looks better when it isn't.  It adds depth (if done right) to the sculpt, and it's neat if you want to remove the vest then.  Kinda like hats being removable, even if a guy didn't remove it...  It's nice to have.

This Han Solo, the early bird Chewie and the new Falcon are probably my top three items. I remember when I was a kid I had a dog eared copy of Han Solo's Revenge and a lot of my games revolved around smuggling jobs.

I know the likeness isn't totally spot on, but there's something about the way this figure is crafted that just has the attitude of Han Solo.

I'm not so fussed about the vest, but I like the idea of the holster strap, I thought that was one of the few redeeming features about that new Bespin Luke. I wouldn't mind seeing this figure re-released, but with gloves, for a Docking Bay 94 version.

This pick is a no brainer, but I still have a few problems with him that I would love to see fixed on a reissue:

• The skin tone.  What is with this nasty jaundice yellow skin color that Hasbro decides to pump out every now and then?  They did the same thing with the VOTC Leia.  For the love of god, it looks like they're suffering from liver disease.

• The belt.  Walks away from dead horse.

Those are pretty easy fixes.  They already have a holster strap free leg from the latest Death Star Han, so...

Also, another dead hose issue, but I know Harrison Ford was pretty thin in '76, but this is still slightly too thin.  No chance of fixing it, but it's still worth mentioning.

As it stands, one of the better reissues.

Yeah, the VOTC Han was really the first figure I saw that made me feel like we had reached the apex of what a Star Wars figure could be. I can't believe I bought only one now, but I guess that ten dollar price tag was really intimidating six years ago. I remember passing him by a couple of times before finally caving for the purchase. If Hasbro saw fit to reissue the figure, I would buy a couple of 'em for 2 bucks less today, and be grateful for the opportunity.

My first vintage Han was the small head version, and I still prefer it. The big head just never worked to my eye. I had both eventually (because I had to buy replacements of just about all of my original 12 due to play wear) but I'd have to say my choice for favorite vintage Han in the vest outfit became Endor Han minus the duster. I know it's not really the same outfit, nor is it fair to compare '84 figures to '78 ones, but once the Endor version came out, ol' Big Head was permanently retired.

That's honestly it, but it's an "it" that bothers me too, especially the holster.  I think better Ford likenesses exist too, but they're few.  That battlepack Endor Han, or the last Carbonite Han I like better.

The Saga Carbonite Han that looked like he was actually Kevin Spacey with wild hair had thrown up on himself?  That (along with torture rack Bespin Han and POTF2 Han) is one of the worst Han's EVER IMO.

Let me take a moment to say how much I am loving this "Collect all 92" feature.  Really cool.

I love this Han.  To me this is one of the crowning jewels of the line and some of the best work Hasbro has ever done.  The proportions are dead on.

Great column. On this Han, I think you may have missed an opportunity to link the small headed hand with the VOTC Han and the large headed Han with the BAD Death Star Han  (BD30). The resemblance makes me wonder if Hasbro didn't create the Death Star Han head on purpose, since the VOTC head was so spot-on.

All vintage figures could have improved considerably with the white part of the eye (sclera) depicted on our first toys.
If toy technology have let it, figures could have had belts and holsters in different colors than pants.

One thing the vintage Han Solo accomplishes is a ready position for shotting, also when the figure is stand without rising his blaster arm. The curvature of his legs suggests Han is ready to make a sprint, a fall, roll or run to use his blaster.

One way to show this attitude in this character was the 25th anniversary Han Solo (Potj), which came with Chewie in a similar pose.
