I'm not entirely opposed to chase figures, I just think they handled it better early on.

Series I Gold ironman.  Regular Ironman in lineup, easy to get.

Series II Doombot.  Regular Doom in lineup, easy to get.

Series III no mask Wolverine.  Regular Wolverine in lineup, easy to get no matter how silly the price on this chase gets.

Series IV.  Oh-oh.  Goliath (w/Antman and Wasp) not in regular series, easier to find than Wolvie from ML IV but still, not cheap or easy.

Series V.   >:(  Red Skull, historically (Legendarily??) Caps biggest foe and now he's a chase?  Oh sure, easier than Wolvie above, but again, not easy and a serious, major character.

Phoenix is another version of Jean Grey, I can live with that.  Black Widow is a relatively minor character, but the same scenario as Goliath, meesa not happy.  Vision should not be a chase figure unless they make a Scarlett Witch figure in the future that is also a chase.  Of course using that logic, Cap should have been a chase figure.

They had it right and then messed it up.  It's like McFarlane, most of the time with sports picks you can get whatever player you like, no hassles.  The chase figures are harder, but they exist if you want them.  They don't leave you without gaping holes though (no matter how much I complain about the 3rd jersey Roy figure).

I'll likely get the following if that is an accurate list (might as well put it here since you'll end up getting them for me Scott ::) ;D)

VI
Brown Costume Wolverine
Deadpool
Juggernaut

VII
Apocalypse
Hawkeye

VIII
Ice Man
Storm

Weapon X Wolvie, new Ironman and ultimate Cap are maybes, have to see them first.  Naturally I would want the chase figures if possible, but I'm getting used to living without stuff.

Yeah, it was nicer when the repaints were chases. But, between them and the new X-Men line having the only figures I wanted packed at 1 per case, and also never finding X2 series 2, I'm beginning to question why I'm bothering anymore. I'm thinking about just keeping my Marvel interest to the comics and movies now. I'll decide after Toy Fair and the undoubtedly bad news to come from that.

Mm, yes, those would do nicely.  Not like I need more stuff though :-X

Thanks for the boxes Scott, they came in without any customs fees, so big savings in dollars there for me. :) I didn't remember the SA clone coming either, so that was a treat.

X-men Legends will be worth a look...
