Thanks for the link Nick.  I have yet to order from those guys, but they are one of the sponsors over at snowtroopers.ca, so they can't be all bad.

The maskless Wolvie has a different head sculpt.  I don't have a link to a pic either, but it is in the most recent Toyfare issue.

I'm in the same boat as Scott if (when) I order these.  I have to unload Beast, Gambit and Magneto.  Two of three are still in the clamshell with Magneto loose.  On the bright side, they haven't been released up here yet, so I should have some luck with someone local.

Anyone know how many guns the Punisher in the boxed set comes with, or is it just the bazooka?

The first shipment of the Series IV figures came in August. I was hunting for new Star Wars and they had just pegged this series. There were 2, yes 2! Goliath figures pegged. I picked one up looked at it and thought it may well be the coolestthing I had ever seen. I had a comicbook creation class that evening and thought it would be great to show everyone. Then I found myself thinking like the cheap person I am and I decided since there were 2, I could grab one up at another time.

There was no pub yet on the fact that this was the chase figure. When I found out, I became quite depressed and chalked it up as another great missed opportunity in a life-long list of them.

Today however, I freaking found one freshly pegged at a Target in the wee morning hours!!! I was almost hauled out by sercurity for the howl of joy and justice served I let out.

So, the loser wins every now and again. Just thought I'd share...

A very nice score, congratulations.

I hate to think of what would happen if I found the unmasked Wolverine figure in a store.  They probably would arrest me, throw me in a straight jacket and make me clean up the wet spot on the floor :o :-[  It would be a heck of a decision whether to keep it though.  I suspect I would, but the temptation would be strong.

I'm pleased to report I have my white Electra, which my daughter is letting me keep.  She apparently gets the red version as it goes better with "her" Daredevil ??? :)

X-men boxed set has arrived.  Cool, but holy variable paint jobs batman.  Had to search through a few to get one without the bent claw version of Wolvie ::)

I found something really weird though.

Magneto with a different head sculpt.  Not like the original closed mouth or the new, supposed-to-be-there open mouth version either.  This one has longish white hair and a beard? :o ???  It's either a hell of a good and fast custom (weren't in stores on the weekend) and there was no indication of any tampering with the box.  Tape is perfect, twist ties are tight and plastic is clean.

Is there a chase version of the boxed set???

Whoa :o  Talk about toy karma (no, not Karen).

Mentioning purple pepper  made me think to go check ebay.  Just listed:  Purple pepper (dirty) with a BIN of $39.73 :o

The purple pepper quest is over ;D

Now what do I do with my white Pepper?

Brent, since MLV is starting to show up, let me know your order of preference so we can complete that deal for the Doom that's been sitting in your trunk for months.  In the meantime, I'll still keep my eyes open for either a clonetrooper or Jedi 3 pack and we can go that route.  If I have no luck in that regard, we'll just do a Legend for a Legend.  LMK

That's cool by me.  A legend for a legend is perfect.

Should you happen upon a plethora of red skull :-*

Or, in reality, the order would be:

Colossus
Captain Fantastic (guess I have to go pick up Torchie boy)
Sabertooth
Silversurfer (need my duck)
Nick Fury

I finally saw the Doom again today as I emptied out my trunk.  It goes in to get fixed tomorrow.  Glad I leave all the toys at the front of the trunk instead of the back :o
