Wal-Mart Clone Wars Kit Fisto Jedi Starfighter
« on: June 16, 2010, 04:09 PM »
As the title says...  We got an image of the boxed set today.

Clicky to check it out!

I never picked up the original Fisto JSF using the AOTC ship's sculpt, and so I'm sort of interested in this CW era JSF repaint.

WOWZA!  :o

Did we know about this? I thought we were expecting Plo Koon's Starfighter in the Fall. Wonder if this is in lieu of or in addition to...either way, this is way cool!

WHat a joke.  Just like Ahsoka's fighter, they are packaging it showing the droid, but are not releasing the droid.  It's just a freaking repaint!  We should have had a half dozen astros by now in this line.  Bah!  Hasbro!

I think Astro's may happen in less conventional ways...  Like perhaps battlepacks and whatnot.  Hasbro's unlikely to completely bail on cheap astromech repaint possibilities.  But for the basic line, I can see their reasoning as while cheap for Hasbro, they're maybe not what the kids will want.

I'd keep my eye on multi-packs and stuff then.

Obi's R4-P17 is rumored for Wave 18, so maybe they are going to try to sneak a few out in the basic line this Fall...

I'd love to see more astromech droids multipacks like the ones we got a few years ago, maybe for the animated line this time.

I'd be game for another set or two and if I'm not mistaken, the EE Droids did fairly well - no?

Considering that the droids are just repaints of Goldie and the vehicles are just a repaint of Obi-Wan/Anakin's you would think that at this point, they could afford to just pack the correct astromech in with the ship.

I think any fighter deco that gets made has at least a better chance of getting a droid to go with it than not, so I'd keep some hope alive.

According to Galactic Hunter, this has been spotted at a Walmart in San Diego, there's even a pic up.

Good news, but I'm apprehensive this will be like the whole Jabba fiasco...can't sleep on this one.

Sigh...back to the Walmart runs.

Based on what I read in the Yakface forums last night, this has also now been spotted in Arizona and Iowa.

I wondered why no one has posted here about seeing this yet and then I remembered we are down to like 20-30 regular posters now.

I would really appreciate it if someone could mention this if they happen to see it in their travels. Will do likewise, of course.

Thanks!
