Another item that fell off the radar is the Cad Bane in Clone Trooper disguise. I figured he'd be part of one of those CW 2-packs but nothing... yet.

I'm pretty jazzed about the ROTJ wave, as well as some other nifty things that we've already seen/known about (Jabba, etc.).  No major surprises, but there always seems to be a couple of things on the slideshow - and like it was said, I'm sure they are holding some things for Celebration.  I would think that either this weekend, or at that show, we would see the final TVC wave for the year and hopefully a preview of the first wave of 2011.  I think that's how it usually goes anyways.  In these days of so many leaked pictures, it is tougher to get "surprised" about too much anymore, I think.

What I mean by "new" is literally a figure that has never been done before in the modern (1995 and on) line.  Wooof is new.  And cool.  While I understand that there's very little that can fit this catagory, I think that if Habro were more creative, they could find ways to make new stuff.  Heck, give me a Luke Tatooine with a stormtrooper belt.

That figure has been done - twice.  ;)

The human Jedi guy from the Arena's new as well...

Honestly I was stoked though.  I like all the resculpts myself, because they all needed done desperately.

And technically the Endor Rebel's all new too...  They've never done the Sergeant who is seen a good bit, so there's "new" there.

Ackbar hasn't been done since 1998 or so, right?  Same with the Gam Guard unless you count the OTC repaint.  I'm pretty pleased that stuff's coming out.

ALso I'll remind folks that this is just the stuff from preview night...  Friday's the Hasbro presentation, and new stuff will likely pop up on their presentation that isn't available in the booth.  Just a friendly reminder on that is all. :)

Yeah, 97 or 98... and those new ones look awesome.

Ackbar is my favorite thing from today.

Is Hasbro planning to unveil more of the basic figure line at CV??

I was sorely disappointed by the lack of TVC figures shown at display - I was at least hoping to see the additional AOTC wave out on display too.

I was excited, though, to see the 2nd series of the Geonosis packs on display.

I'm hoping that Hasbro will at least offer a sneak peak into 2011 for the TVC line in their slideshow - when will that be, again? Usually Hasbro's always showing off their entire plans for the basic figure line, but I felt more energy went into showing off TCW figures. :(

I believe the Hasbro slideshow presentation is slated for this evening, but not sure about the exact time. Anyone else have a clue?

Some notes from the panel...

- CW Flamethrower Clone comes with "Fire" accessory that wraps around other figures (like a BD/Geonosian)
- Wedge is delayed - they want to get his headsculpt right so he was pushed back and is no longer part of the RotJ wave.
- Gamorrean Guard *will* have soft goods fuzzy skirt
- TFU2 and SW:TOR figures will be coming... but not until 2012
- CW DVD 2-Packs = Walmart exclusive, 2 repacks with a 1-episode DVD
- "Legacy of the Dark Side" 2-Packs = TRU exclusive (October)
- CW Robonino/Hidden Enemy BPs = Target exclusive
- CW Hostage Crisis 2-Packs = Target exclusive (Cad/Helios, Senate Commandos)
- CW Kit Fisto JSF = Walmart excluisve
- Target Geo Arena Obi-Wan, Anakin, Dooku all have new headsculpts.  Shaak Ti has new articluated arms.  BAD parts were indeed used for AotC C-3PO.  Newness in every set!
- Mini-Mugg 3-packs = Target exclusive (October)
- Attack on Hoth/Defense of Hoth = Target exclusive (December)
- EE comic packs selling well... good sign for potential for future packs
- 2011 Spring preview (and a few more surprises) will be shown at Celebraton V!

Q&A:
- will you make a new protector/clamshell case for '08/'09 card size?  No.
- 3.75" on Robot Chicken?  Maybe a chance some day...
- CW Twilight?  Uh... 3.75" format = no.
- SW Mini-Muggs are a test... if they sell well, they may do marvel/etc.
- Response to EU wave was great, they will look to re-release some of them eventually...  same with those late waves of CW figures.
- WotC Star Wars minis?  Still dead.
- More Rogue Squadron figures?  We hope so.

I watched the panel and I was grievously disappointed. Firstly, almost every slide had loads of repacks on it. I'm just downed by the lack of new product they've unveiled. Very disappointed. Let's hope the CV panel has a little more...

What a complete an utter suckfest!!!

Biggest waste of time EVER! Thank God I'm only sitting at work.  ;)

I missed the first few minutes, but from what I saw there was absolutely nothing new shown at all. About the only thing I noted of passing interest was the slide confirming the Xanadu Blood for the TCW line.

Last year's slide had a LOT more sneak peeks. I realize this year is different with CV coming up, but that excuse only goes so far. There has to be SOMETHING "new" out there they could share.

Saw Smash and Jayson schooling the chat forum...nice work representin' fellas.

You know what?  This is good.  Between Vinatge and TCW, there's only 6-12 new carded figures coming out between now and Christmas (wave 3 in January).  (Right?)

More moeny to spend on Lego and maybe those Gentle Giant Vinathe Replicas...
