Jedi Turbo Speeder
« on: August 13, 2010, 04:07 PM »
Sounds like a new vehicle slipped into the 2010/2011 stuff...  2010 I guess from the sounds of it.

Curious to see good pics of this.

Very cool.  I can see it getting the skittle treatment though, but it's all good.

Weird...  Season 3 item?  I don't recall it from the show off-hand.  I'd have thought they'd go with the Coruscant speeder Ani has before something they'd make up, so I can only imagine this goes with the toon next season if it wasn't already in it.

It looks familiar though... I'm pretty sure it was from Season 2...  I think maybe it was used in one of the Baby Fett episodes at the end of the year?

Yeah, the flared wings in the rear made me think it's been seen, but I don't recall a Jedi Speeer with an astromech slot...  It wouldn't have anything to do with mandalore I suppose.  Ahsoka chasing those two chicks?

Took a quick peek through some eps on my ipod - Ahsoka and Plo fly in one of those Jedi Turbo ships in the "Lethal Trackdown" episode (season finale).  The one they are riding doesn't seem to have a droid slot, but it was in the ships initial design drawings -

It looks pretty reasonably accurate too...  The tail may be shortened a little I guess, but that's about it.

Makes more sense without the astromech. :)

EDIT:  Ah, side-by-side (sorta) reveals it's a bit tiny so I'll likely pass, but it's cool to see them do this ship up out of the blue.  Nobody had this thing rumored even that I recall.

This is pretty cool looking.

I like the fact that it will give me something to do with at least one set of the extra Anakin and Ashoka figures I have.

Design wise I am not a fan and am surprised at it making it to production in this coming line as it gets such little screen time (part of one episode)

Will pass.

Wait for the purple Mace Windu's Jedi Turbo Speeder redeco, and the Darth Vader Jedi Turbo Speeder, which he used while waiting for his TIE-Turbo Speeder to arrive.  :P

I am actually really digging this one. I like how it's a plain speeder but it sure kills the how aggressive argument from Hasbro. It looks like a good generic speeder that will work well for senators even Bail Organa.

Looks interesting.  I vaguely remember this from the CW series, but it does have some cool features.  The variable geometry stabilizers are cool for one.  I'm always happy to get a vehicle with an astromech slot, too.  I'll definitely be buying one.
