It's pretty big which means it will not be cheap. I really like what I see, I wonder is Hasbro making this for Star Tours if so some good Q&A questions in regards to this item will be most welcome.  I hope they stick to the plan to make it scaled and detailed. They will have a real winner here if they do!

I am more excited about this vehicle than every upcoming one we officially know about.

Disney Panel image of Star Speeder 10000

I'm pretty sure the ship in this pic is just a repaint of the Action Fleet size Starspeeder 3000 that came out a few years back. I snagged one the last time I was at Disney. It's a pretty cool little ship, but the weird looking R2 is the giveaway.

(Speaking as Obi-Wan) "That's no Action Fleet Vehicle!"

Diddly, we are referring to the other slides under new development. Check out the slides again, it's 20 inches long and close to 8 inches high. It's definitely not the Action fleet. Plus, it clearly states it's a Large Scale Playset. Take a look at the measurements on the slide.

I have no doubt they may rerelease the one you describe in the new deco. But this appears to be scaled with the regular line. I never picked it up but good to know it was a nice toy.

Guess you didn't click the link in the post Diddly quoted...  :P

There are TWO Star Speeders and folks are obviously confusing them  - the larger one that kicked off this thread (which is the one in your slides JACK) and then the new "1000" repaint of the old Star Speeder 3000 Action Fleet style ship, which is what was linked in the post Diddly quoted -

Actually I did. That's why I posted the clarification in my above post in order to help clear up the confusion. I should have been more clear on the link slide more.

My guess will be May of next year when the ride reopens. My guess it will be about $75-$99 since it's Disney. This would be a $50 ship if it was released at Target.

No worries.

I agree with MP price structure. I can easily see $65, that were I will place my bet.

Curto indicated in his CV Part 1 coverage that Hasbro is not having anything to do with this...  Maybe that was said before - but it is news to me.  I wonder if we can expect the same quality we see in Hasbro products?  Or perhaps, will we see a lesser price tag?

That was news to me too. I am not worried about quality, I do not expect Hasbro level but not anything atrocious.

I do not think the price will be that great. Just a heads up, China has increased their minimum wage by 20% for the entire country this year, manufacturing juts got a lot more expensive. Every factory is going to take this hit. Expect many items in 2011 to be a lot more expensive. This is country wide so this affects everything manufactured there. I would not be surprised if $10 is the normal price at every store for vintage in 2011.

I am still buying this regardless, I think it's a cool concept despite it not being made by Hasbro. Now if a company would do dioramas "playsets"...

Thanks for the link. This vehicle sounds really exciting, I am really looking forward to this, the designers sound like they are really pulling out the stops. It will be really funny if this outdoes a Hasbro vehicle.
