I am just thinking Lucas could easily change it to blue in the BluRay release, as you know he has made several changes in the past.

Totally possible, but with the debate already I could see him leaving it alone if he likes it being blue, since some think it is...  I don't think he intended that though, and he cares so little about fan's nostalgia anyway, I doubt he'd tinker with something like that.

Now, changing it to black, since "Han always wears black"...  and just totally f'ing with everyone for his own jollies, now that I could see.

The costume was probably both blue and brown used in different takes. It is clearly blue on the vintage card photo.

I was under the impression that the prop as brown but that most hoth scenes had a blue wash over the film to emphasis the cold, to wash out teh palate to a white/ blue look

That's what I was wondering about too...was it mentioned?  I know we heard that the Landspeeder and Luke's Taun Taun were coming to Target, but is this set slated to hit there as well?

They will probably shown it at NYCC in October.  Hasbro said they are attending

Why is Luke's TaunTaun sans figures, but Han's is not?  Where is Han's?  Weird, weird, weird show.

Other than new zeland or wherever this was last spotted, has anyone heard anything new about this item?

What is really going on with the vintage and the target exclusive items. After the Blu Ray Comm figure set, Nothing.

If anyone has some info, please share.

This is getting from bad to worse.

JTA reports this has been found in the US now, so start looking.

Best part? It's $24.99, the exact same price as Luke's Taun-Taun.

So you pay the same for 1 Taun-Taun as you do for a Taun-Taun with 2 action figures thrown in.

That makes sense.  ::)

Pricing error maybe?  Target had one not that long ago IIRC.

Picked this up yesterday.  The $24.99 price seems about right... and helps even out some of the overpriced mark they have on the vintage Tauntaun and Landspeeder.

Chewie - you wouldn't mind looking at your receipt and getting the DPCI number would you?  ;D
