I haven't seen that case locally at all, but did see it online.  I think the other versions of the big three are in "wave 2", along with Hulk and Loki.  That's the case I've been seeing around here, but I haven't seen unmasked Cap assortment at all yet.

The unmasked Cap looks okay.  I've seen that one in person and at first I started thinking "Oh no, they're going to try throwing variations into the mix to make this line hot".

Just picked up Loki and Hulk, I am pretty sure my previous Norton movie Hulk will be my standard version. This one seems undersized. On a more interesting side note, i noticed that the cosmic cube is imbedded in the blades of Loki's spear which is pretty cool.

I saw some of this out at our local TRU today, but nothing that wasn't already seen at Target really.  With one exception, the two packs (and singles) of mini muggs.  I have to admit, I kind of like those little things - may have to pick some of them up.  I thought the previous "mighty muggs" were a bit too large/expensive, but these little ones are better in those respects - plus, it seems like the comic characters translate a little better than SW did for the most part.

Otherwise, they seemed to only have an endcap set for now (and only five basic figures, on one peg), with a couple odd things set in various places in between the Thor/Cap/IM stuff.  I would think they would have more of a "feature aisle", but maybe that is coming later (again, talking about TRU).

My Walmart got that Wave 1 but Target has Wave 2.  So, locally, you could be all caught up with two stops if you were so inclined.

I looked through the pegs at both stores and was not the least bit inspired by anything in the figure line.  However, that Quinjet is a really nice piece.  A little undersized, but for $30 it's easily on par, if not a slightly better deal, than the Star Wars Starfighter line (aka Class II Attack Vehicles).  It has some nice play features with the ability to have Iron Man "fly" alongside and foot pegs for recreating a possibly spoilerish scene we've seen in the trailers.  Even with the current paint scheme, all you'd need to do was mask the A on the wings and it should have great GI Joe crossover appeal.

It's probably just my opinion, but I think the real winners for this line from Hasbro will could be the role play stuff.  I could see more kids coming out of the film and wanting Thor's hammer, Cap's shield or an IM mask (or even Hulk Hands) than action figures.

Is that Wave I listing accurate?  I have seen this at a few places, but have yet to see the Hawkeye figure.  I did see Wave II at TRU tonight.  The Mark VI Iron Man was kind of cool, but not included  in their sale and I Didn't like any of the others.  The Hulk is even worse than I expected.  I'll probably get Hawkeye and Widow at some point if I can find them.

Saw the Loki wave tonight for the first time. Slightly better, but still meh.

How many waves are we going to have to wait for some Skrulls?

I think that wave 1 info is pretty accurate.  I saw the comic Hawkeye at Walmart but, honestly, the others were just Thor, Cap, IM, I didn't pay attention to battle this or spike that...

I wish wave 3's main was Thanos but if it is Annihilus I will be happy. That's my guess after the latest trailer.

This seems to be missing Movie Hawkeye from the basic figures.  And of course there are the other items in the line, line the parachute Captain America and an Iron Man in that same assortment.  There's also some kind of Battle Armor with Cap & Iron Man as well.  Plus there is a vehicle & figure assortment with Cap & Iron Man.  Last but certainly not least is the Quinjet which ALSO includes an Iron Man figure.

Picked up Ultimates Thor and Hawkeye since I found them on sale. Overall they're not bad, and probably the only things worth getting out of the first wave. The sculpting is very nice, articulation is ok, as has been reported previously, they lack torso joints, ankles and wrists and they have balljoint knees rather than doubles. Overall though, the only joint that others me is the lack of wrists, and the ankles on these two at least are straight enough that it doesn't make standing up much of an issue. Heres hoping they re card Ultimates Iron Man to go along with them, I never could find that guy.

A question for anyone who was collecting both the Thor line and the Avengers line:  are there any differences between the King Loki figure from the Thor line, and the new Loki figure in the Avengers line?
