My kid loves the battle droids and this vehicle.  So, I will be adding it to the collection.  It sounds good to me.  I did not think they were going to give us 20 poseable droids to begin with so that's fine with me.  I look forward to seeing it of course!

So is that a Clone Wars battledroid in there or are my eyes just messing with me?  I was guessing it's just a mock-up placeholder figure, but stranger things have happened for sure.  It'd just be kind of disappointing if all the folded ones were made to look that way.  The animated droid is pretty distinct.

Of course if it is, I'd still lean more towards it just being a figure holding a place in mock-up packaging and not the final figure you'll ultimately get in the set.

It also didn't seem like it was made for the vintage droid, not CW, due to the effort to make the vinty one fold (the Legends ones folded fine too though)...  But I could see it happening that the poseable figures, at least, are Clone Wars ones.

I think that it is a mockup as evidenced by the blank call out circle on the front of the box. My guess is that is where all of the main features (in different languages when applicable) will be listed. That battle droid shown there does look like the CW version. It seems a little flat so I think is it a placeholder graphic. I suspect that Hasbro will cross advertise the MTT stating that it works with Movie Heroes/Vintage and Clone Wars figures like they are doing on other packaging.

That is pretty cool. I guess only four droids are articulated. I like that it is an actual vehicle instead of just a big storage case that I thought it was going to be. Now I need a Rebel Troop Transport with some kind of internal playset like command room and brig.

An interesting piece to be sure, but I think I'll pass initially.  Mainly because I just don't have the space.  If I tried to put it on my Naboo battle shelf, it and the Fambaa would take up all the space.

Also, didn't Obi Wan run around these things in the Naboo swamps?  Just trying to throw out the tie-in.
This is the way.

I have spoken.

QGJ and Jar Jar met as one was coming after them...  I don't recall Obi-Wan ever seeing one though.

Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon stowed away on the dropships to get to Naboo.  It never really specified where in the dropships they hid so maybe they hitched a ride on an MTT to get off the ship unnoticed?

As for the toy.  Eh.  I'm not completely disappointed that they tackled this one.  I've never really argued against any of the large vehicles other than pointing out why some might not be a good choice.  This was one of them.  It'll be interesting, once we see all the features, to hear what people think of it.

From the tiny pics it looks like it could have playset features in some sort of combination of the AT-TE and Attack Shuttle along with the droid deployment feature.  Plus you have to worry about pricing.  It could generate a lot of "Maybe, on clearance" response.

I want one, but like the AT-AT I might have to pass for space reasons

This is the exact reason why it's hard to stop collecting PT stuff. This thing is just too cool.

Neat.  I am sure a lot of long-time collectors are happy now.

Let's speculate on the future...

What are your picks for "big vehicle" for the rest of the releases?
AOTC: Not sure here...  Maybe Padme's ship?  Not a lot of fun there...
ROTS: Same here...  Padme's ship is all that stands out to me...
ANH: Tantive IV for sure
ESB: Rebel Transport
ROTJ: Perhaps... at long last...  Jabba's Barge?
