Thanks SnTrooper, that was very clear.  I appreciate it...  Helps me know what way I'd prefer displaying them.  Teebo gets the full hood.  Wondered why the drumsticks too.  That explains that.

I'm just going to go with the idea that Kneesa is actually Wuta. You know, so I can look at myself in the mirror without feeling shame at how lame that Ewoks cartoon was.

Ewoks and Droids both...  I always feel like I missed something with those toons, but I watched them and as a kid I guess I just had other tastes for my Saturday Morning fun.  :-\

If I remember correctly, they were up against the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Show. No way was I going to miss the Road Runner.

I think it also had to do with the multi-part stories that Droids and Ewoks ran. If you miss one, it was hard to keep up. The Ewok second session was better since they got away from that.

These cartoons were before my time, but why haven't we gotten complete seasons on DVD? I know they did those half-assed sets of like 4 episodes back when the OT hit DVD for the first time, but you'd think Lucas would want even more money.

Anyway, my Ewok set shipped from TRU.com. $50 after shipping and sales tax, ouch. But at least I don't have to waste any more time searching my non-restocking TRUs for them.

I'd buy the series on DVD, complete sets only though.  I'm still just not a big fan but I liked some of the character designs in Droids at least.  Ewoks...  They're sort of weak looking designs.

I'm just glad Kneesa is realistic and they didn't try duplicating anything animated looking with much more than a paintjob.

The TRU employees in my area snagged ALL these sets up and so they never even made it on the shelf.  It didn't help that both stores only received one case each.

This morning I was in the shower thinking, (best place for thinking) and I got to thinking about Chukha-Trok.  We know he is coming but when and where?

There are so many different avenues Hasbro could release him:

Next year in the new Build a Droid line - doubtful imo
The next Vintage collection series - to me this is an interesting thought.  I think his card would look great - even though I am an opener.
Then we have the possibility of him being in a K-Mart 2 pack - maybe even with a Kaink figure with a plastic hood!
And then of course there is the possibility of another TRU Ewok pack - again, hopefully with Kaink and others from the Ewok movie

So which will it be?

I also went looking to see if there was a hood variation for Chuka-Trok from the TV movie to the cartoon - to me it looks the same, so I wouldn't really expect a second hood.  But they better give him a bunch of weapons!

While looking for images on line of Chukha-Trok I found this image of some McQuarrie art - man would that be terrifying to see if you were an Ewok!  PS - I still want a Gorax.

And an Ewok group shot for fun:

I would love it if they made another Ewok set that did focus on the TV movies - maybe even throw a Cindel Towani figure in there too? (I know, I know wishful thinking)

A Cindel w/ Teek and Noah exclusive set would be awesome... with a companion set of the bad aliens w/ witch.  Hasbro would have a very cool set on their hands if they did that.

How big would a Gorax need to be, to be to-scale?

How big would a Gorax need to be, to be to-scale?

there is such a range in height according to wookiepedia -
Quote
adult Gorax were usually over six meters tall. Some specimens were recorded that were up to 30 meters in height.

wookiepedia is saying ewoks are 1 meter - and I am measuring the ewok action figures are about 2 to 2.5 inches (teebo).  So I think the more avg Ewok would be about 2.

So an in scale Gorax would therefore need to be anywhere from 12 to 60 inches!  I am not finding anywhere that says how tall the Gorax from the movie would be - but to me iirc, he looks like he would be on the taller end of the spectrum....

I suppose I will just have to dress up as a Gorax.....

Well, you could use one of the 1/4 scale NECA Predator figures as a base, if you wanted to make one.

To bad a Gorax isn't in current media - I'd totally be ok with one as tall as the Sentinel they made for the Marvel line.

Are the Gorax and the Lorax related?
