I put concrete in the foot and made it stable. it needed weight on the bottom of the feet to keep it standing the joints are fine. my boys have 2 and they move them like they should.

By all accounts I've red, the joints are NOT fine on any that I've heard about till yours.  Guess you got lucky?

I hate to be a bother, but there seems to be something wrong with the link to the fix tutorial on the main page.

It's on the main page. Now it says: Error: Invalid start/end news items.

I'm using Chrome, but it works fine in IE. Just on my end I guess.

This was in the article text from the link above:

Error: Invalid start/end news items.

And that's using IE

That last comma is always a bitch -

This:
http://www.jedidefender.com/newspro/fullnews.cgi?newsid1347521356,73627,
="Error: Invalid start/end news items."

But this, with the little comma added in the hyperlink:
http://www.jedidefender.com/newspro/fullnews.cgi?newsid1347521356,73627,

= what you seek.

For some reason the "auto-linker" in the forum software always drops the last comma, like is did in Jesse's post there.  And for some reason Chrome drops the last comma sometimes...  I don't really know the whys'hows for that though.

I always forget that damn comma...  my email drops that too so I have to make sure it's html'd in or it doesn't work as a clickable link.

Weird that the Google Chrome would not work right though, even when it's coded right on the front page and IE uses it fine.  Very odd.  :-\

K-Mart Vintage AT-ST Wobbly Ankle Joint Fix Tutorial!

Click, fix, enjoy.

Armed with my new pack of 5/16" internal tooth lock washers from Menards, I took JJ's advice and fixed up my K-Mart AT-ST tonight.  She stands like a beauty now.  Thanks again for the tip/tutorial, Jesse. :)

I was looking more closely at mine and it seems that, that joint isn't an issue for me. It the upper one that causes all of mine to sag.

Send me a pic of which one yours is weak at Anton, and I'll let you know if the fix will work on it.

Hoping mine will magically fix itself in the box somehow.  I did notice the legs on my Target AT-ST legs were much looser then the WM version was and took a bit of work to get it to stand properly.  Shame to hear this one is worse, but hey...I bought this one for the box (to stay sealed in) so I don't really care.

I must be doing something wrong with my K-Mart walkers because both of mine have been standing with no problems for the last couple of weeks. I even added a driver to one vehicle with no issues. I am expecting to find them toppled over on my shelves one of these days, so as soon as that happens I plan to apply Jesse's fix.

I'm sure a lot of it is simply luck of the draw on the plastic that was used during whatever run it was through...  It's a very slight problem where it could be just a hair away from toppling or standing fine forever...  or toppling over time.  Mine was fine out of the box but after I played with it posed it some during happy fun time an evalution period, it started crapping out on me.

Well I never really played with posed mine, so that might have been the saving grace. The plastic quality really sucks though... I would love if Hasbro found a mid-point between the softness of this release and the brittleness of the 2009 and 2010 releases.
