Sorry to see a legend bow out.  Are you sure you don't want one more year in the record books?

I've been trying to sit football out for a couple years and this will likely be the year I finally do it.  I have too many hobbies going to put any meaningful effort into football this Fall.  I will probably play basketball this Fall with you guys though because I'm going for the 3peat in my dental school friends league and I can't sit that one out.  If I'm doing all the work for one league might as well do JD basketball also, doesn't take any extra time.  Anyhow have fun with football, I hope whoever has the most Giants wins!

This will make defending my championship far less meaningful.

If Dressel is gone, we do have one (1) opening.

Yahoo is running about a bazillion mock drafts at a time and it is screwing with their server.  I'd suggest logging in early tomorrow and not getting out of the draft window once you're in.  It's hit and miss and hopefully they figure out that the trouble is at their server end (believe me, I was utilizing multiple browsers, two computers and a smart phone to check access) before tomorrow night.   ::)

Why is it that for the past 3 years I always seem to have something come up on draft day?

Here's to another great year with a computer drafted team... ::)

Somehow I clicked Roethlisberger and I got Witten...I still got Roethlisberger 2 rounds later but I really wanted to take T Gonz instead...oh well, hopefully Witten doesn't lacerate any minor organs

You did fine.  First pick and if MJD plays, you're completely loaded at RB.

+1

I'm not a big fan of auto draft, but your team is solid considering you weren't even there.  Stinks that the system gave you two defenses and kickers, but at least it came at the very end.  I wonder how far Jones-Drew would have slipped if not for the AD...?

I think Rob and Duece are the teams to beat thus far.  I like Rob's starting four skills + Gates and Romo.  Lots of skills with potential and even landed a solid kicker and D late.  WTD has the Brees-Graham connection and got a steal with Turner in the 5th.  Wish he had made it a few more spots to me.  I like the bench potential as well, with Wayne, Britt, Olsen, and Hightower all good values.  I'm happy with my own team, so long as Chris Johnson rebounds this year.  I think Matt Ryan will have a strong year, but probably took him a round too early.  I was worried about an early run on QBs that never really came.

Good luck to everyone this year!

I screwed up during the draft... I never really lay out a plan other than "Draft RBs First" (and "Draft No Jets Players" this year) but a lot of guys on my watch list were picked by the time I was off auto-draft with only "late round picks" remaining early, which is why I ended up with Andrew Luck in the third round. I was surprised at how late some guys went, like Scott snagging Roethlisberger late even after he pointed out his miss.

Then my "I don't pay attention to the Preseason" stupidity hit because I drafted Jahvid Best late thinking he was a steal. Oh, he's out with concussions. Great. Luckily I feel secure about my RBs, but I wouldn't mind having another WR. I feel like that's my weakest position, as I don't feel like I have a lot of depth. I'm hoping my TEs work out, as I've never been strong in making picks there.

Overall though I'm confident I can at least win SOME games with this roster. Looking forward to the season, and good luck to you guys too.

I was tied up during the draft, so it was auto-draft all the way for me.

Wow, totally surprised by that team. I really can't complain too much about it at all. I see a few picks on my reserves I might not have made, same with my TEs. But that has been a consistently atrocious position for me for the last three years anyways, so me picking someone may not have been much better.

Are the waivers set the same way that they were last year?  (I.E. where everyone goes on Waivers from like Sunday to Tuesday or whatever it was...)
