All aboard the North Stars Wild bandwagon.

Hopefully they'll bounce back from tonight's thrashing and still hold on the 8th slot, giving you something to cheer for.

Meh.  If we can't beat lowly Edmonton at home in the biggest game of the year, what are our odds against Chicago if we end up limping into the 8-seed to end the year?

****.   :'(

Man, it pretty much took me all day yesterday to recover emotionally from the last week of hockey.  :-[

Limiping into the 8 seed indeed.  Now, it begins again.

MN v. Chicago.

1/30 W 3-2 SO
3/5 L 5-3
4/9 L 1-0

So, yeah, we were only 1-2 against them this year, but we were only outscored 8-6.  If the team that showed up on 4/9 shows up for the playoffs, it might be a good series afterall...  or we'll get destroyed in 4 games.   I honestly have no idea what to expect out of my club at this point in the roller-coaster, shortened season that is 2013. :-\

I have faith though...

I'm feeling your pain Jeff.  The Bruins ended their season looking like they had no interest in winning, with a 3-5-2 record in their last 10.  If they won their last game, it would have given them first in the division and knocked Montreal down into fourth.  Instead, we face the Leafs who are going to be very hungry since this is the first time they've been in the playoffs in 10 years.  We better get our **** together.

But it's the Leafs.  Talk about your regression to the mean.   :P

Ouch.  Is it too late to change to a Blackhawks band wagon?

You and me both!  All I can say is thank god the crossbar is as wide as it is, otherwise the Hawks would be looking at 2012 all over again, where Crawford can't get them out of overtime games...  I thought the Hawks came out pretty flat at the begining of the game and picked it up in the second and beyond.  Great job by Harding taking goal after several months of back-up duty.  Thought he had an impressive game considering he was pressed into duty at the last minute.

BTW, thought this was pretty funny too last night.  Not sure that any of you non-Chicagoans caught this in real time, but thankfully Yahoo! picked it up:

Ha!   :D

It felt good to open the series with a 4-1 win, I think that'll be huge for their confidence to get back on track.

And she got fired for it.  Seriously?

No, she actually was let go for the things she did before she got to Chicago.  There was an article in the Tribune talking about her previous 'woman on the street' type broadcasts that are on YouTube.  It's pretty silly considering these were things that NBC Sportsnet should have investigated prior to hiring her...
