My guess must be that certain teams' arena must be busy with concerts.

I think it has more to do with the NBA play-offs myself.  Glad to see the Hawks get at least one more day rest though...

That's probably it... I don't watch NBA so I wouldn't have even thought about their playoffs.

Of course, Montreal has been sitting idle for awhile.  Wonder if that'll mess with their playing.

I think that can definitely mess with a team, waiting, waiting, waiting to play another game.  But Boston only played one more game than them, so things should be pretty equal when they meet for Round 2.

Last night, the Rangers looked like the Flyers playing.  Grrr.

I figured out that the Wild have lost 2 of their 3 games when I've been watching and the third loss I tuned in frequently to check the scores.  Conversely, I have yet to see them win a game in the playoffs.  Do I watch the game and take the chance that I really do have universal power over destiny and fate?

No, just watch and enjoy.  The Rangers win or lose no matter if I watch them or not.

I did and they won, so clearly I am safe to watch the next series.  Way to go Wild!

Ducks, Sharks, Blackhawks and Wild (homer pick! ;D)

Bruins, Habs, Rangers, and B-Jackets (sorry Jesse :()

75% in each - was looking good in the West until the Sharks decided to choke a 3-0 series lead.  Over in the East, I'm glad for Jesse's sake his Pens escaped, but I gotta tell you with all those blown 3-1 leads in that series, it really could have gone either way until they finally woke up and started playing...  even then the Pens almost coughed up a 4-goal lead in game 6. :-\

This round, I'll go -
Kings (Ducks are too banged up now I think)
Chicago (it breaks my heart to type that, but if Kuemper is really hurt and our goalie is Bryz/Curry?  :'(  I'll be happy if I'm wrong though!)
and
Bruins (and it'll be an ugly, ugly nut-spearing, elbowing, dirty-hittin' affair before it's over)
Penguins (assuming Sid wakes up and Flower doesn't wilt)

East
Bruins
Rangers (old home team)
Lightning
Pens

West
Ducks
Kings
Blues (home team... despite their end of season skid)
Wild (old home team)

Looks like I was 75% on each side, too.
I'll have the same picks as Jeff, except the Rangers over the Pens... (Bruins, Rangers, Kings, hawks)

Those damn Habs are a thorn in my side.   >:(  Subban scores to win game 1 in 2-OT.

Well, that sucked...

Never had a good feeling about this series going into it and the last two games have not made me feel any better.  Hawks better get their heads on right by Sunday or this series will be over by Game 6!
