Being more a store than a display explains the insane lines.  :-X

I snagged the Universal Monsters Crypt set off eBay last night for a not too outrageous price. Still looking out that Haunted House set...hate to pass on the MOTU thing, but I have to draw a line somewhere.

I want the bloody jaws set in the worst way... But I'm not spending $100+ for it... I hate exclusives.

You will happy to hear I picked one up for the low, low price of $29.99 today at TRU.  :) They didn't have the regular shark, just the exclusive set. I was so psyched I went ahead and bought all 3 figures on the spot too.

They are very nicely done, probably the best ReAction figures I have bought so far in terms of likenesses. They have definitely improved their game over time.

Happy hunting!

I heard they were showing up, so I stopped by today and nada.  I'm going by TRU again on Friday, so fingers crossed.  The good news is that either way, eBay prices are dropping.

I caved and bought one on eBay for $50 shipped.  It's half of what I expected to pay and only about $15 more than it would have cost me in stores.

So that's done and I have a Miyagi with the Headband and T-1000 with Hole in the Head on their way.

Now I need to find a reasonably priced way to pick up:

- Masters of the Universe Prototypes
- Universal Monsters Haunted Crypt 4-pack
- SDCC T-1000 with the hook arms
- Terminator 2 T-800 Variant
- Terminator 2 Sarah Connor Variant
- Japanese Exclusive Marty McFly with Einsten

This line is getting tougher and tougher to collect...

I bought the Haunted Crypt for about $100 off eBay which was not too bad. I believe it was $70 at the con. I need most of those T2 variants too, except for the Hole in the Head T1000 which I found at TRU yesterday.

The real bear for me is that Haunted House Playset. Apprarently they only made about 10 of those because there are very, very few on eBay and they are all ridiculously priced compared to the other exclusives. I think I'm going to have to wait that one out and hope I get lucky down the line somewhere.

On that haunted house play set... my assumption is more likely that no one bought them.  That price tag was insane for a fold-up piece of printed cardboard.

Just bought the Hook Armed T-1000... I was planning on being patient and trying to save a few bucks, and then I saw that it's a 500 piece edition and figured they'd go pretty quickly from here.

Some random info I read from Reis (Funko) at the Funko Funatics forum:

- There will be more figures between September and December - no pics yet.
- Previously announced properties are mostly on track - some pushed to 2016 (Bill and Ted is canceled).
- They have a long list and a short list for properties... things move around between them, but you've got to get through the short list to get produced.
- They are shuffling lots of things around right now based on what has and hasn't sold.
- Toy Fair for reveals... Comic Con isn't their scene for that.
- No plans for Army of Darkness.
- No Planet of the Apes License.
- Galaxy Quest was on the long list at one point.
- Firefly Series 2 is unlikely.
- Nightmare Before Christmas will have a second series.
- Universal Monsters and Horror will get more figures, probably one or two at a time.
- Leatherface is happening.  Blood Splattered Variant likely.
- No plans for Conan.
- X-Files is on hold for now.
- Focus returning to Pre-90's.
- More Alien figures coming, but he can't talk about details.
- Masters of the Universe is all Super 7, Funko isn't involved.  They are not ReAction figures.
- Die Hard was pitched, they decided to pass.
- No plans for The Burbs :(
- They are looking into doing Hannibal Lecter.
- Adams Family (TV show, not movie) is on the Long List.
- They are hoping to get James Bond rights eventually.
- No Buffy Series 2.
- They tried to get Mad Max, but no one has a Mad Max license.

Heinous!  Most non-triumphant.

No Firefly Series 2?  I assume ReAction, and not Legacy.  I'd love to buy into the Legacy line of Firefly, but am not going to invest in 5/9ths of the crew/passengers for Funko to cancel the line and not get the Tams, Book or Inara.
