Often times, with companies like that, you can contact them directly and they'll send a replacement.  Just a heads up.

Oooh, that would be awesome. I'll look that up later. Until then, the defective Stormie will just have to be a "laying in pain because his leg was chopped off" Stormtrooper.

Yeah that's an instant preorder.

My Revo R2-D2 came in stock at HLJ. Should have it next week.

Got my Revo R2 from HLJ last week (you may have seen the pic I tweeted to JD, Yakface and Jesse James over Twitter), and had a few minutes to fool around with him over the weekend.

I'd probably say it's the worst of the four Revoltech Star Wars figures released so far, mainly due to the limited articulation. You can rotate the head and legs, and the "feet" have Revo style ball joints, but so far I've had a tough time adjusting the joints so you can pose them perfectly (with the other figures you can pull the joints apart to repurpose the ball joints, but not so much with R2). The extra wheeled feet are a cool addition for if you want to have a rolling R2, but you can also pose him in the "rolling" position with the normal feet ala a Hasbro fig.

One feature I LOVE is that you can turn the knob/hologram projector on his face and there's a wheel inside the dome that will cause R2's "mouth" light to change from red to blue.

Unfortunately I don't have the Hasbro Black Series R2 to compare it to, but it would have been cool for Revo R2 to have a few gadgets, or maybe a hologram Leia. That's really my main complaint, it's a fine looking figure, and the paint apps are great, but nothing worth going out of the way to get.

I'd rank the Revo Star Wars figures (what we have so far) as follows:

1. C-3PO
2. Stormtrooper
3. Vader
4. R2

If anyone wants pics, let me know, I've been super busy as of late but can probably spend an evening snapping some detailed pics if anyone wants them.

Surprised the R2's that low on your list.  I'm curious what the Bandai kit astromechs are like by comparison?  They seemed to have a ton more going for them, actually.

I ordered the Bandai R2/R5 kit to compare details and scale with Revo and Hasbro. Hopefully I should received in the next week or so.

I'm curious to see how they look.  Love the Bandai kits.  They're really high quality.

Not sure why someone had the urge to custom paint him immediately, but I picked up a C3PO (w/ dirty paint apps) off of Ebay. Cost me about 3/5 of what a non-custom painted one is going for.

Beautiful figure. No question this is nicer than Hasbro. But again, that would explain the price difference.

That's a nice deal unless the paintjob sucks.

Looks good to me. I wouldn't have known it was custom if the guy hadn't mentioned it.

Got my Revo Boba Fett in the mail today. I'm hoping to have some time here soon to take a few pictures of these guys with their Hasbro counterparts (and compare them to the other Japanese figures)
