Dubnyk, 41 saves on 42 shots; first Wild regulation win in STL since 2007.

With the Wild, since Jan 15 (MY BIRTHDAY!)
20-5-1  --  1.66 GAA  -- .939 SV%

Hot goalies steal cups all the time, this might be it for the Wild.

Damn you for planting this seed...  but oh, the joy if... I can't even say it.   :-X :-\

I'm afraid this thread is just going to devolve into the "Jeff tries to keep his expectations in check" thread these next three weeks...

Ok, now you've become delusional.  Dubnyk is playing very, very well.  But the wheels may fall off sooner than you'd like.  It may not be until next year, but the Vezina and Hart trophies are year long trophies, not last third of the season stuff.  Even still, I'd say Price is ahead in both.

I'm now watching us battle LA/Calgary for the last playoff spot.  You guys are in, IMO.  But I don't think anyone wants to play us if we make it.

Going to my annual Pens game tomorrow.  Between $40 parking and $200 tickets, $12 beers...  I'm looking forward to taking my bronchitis-laden ass down there for some good old fashioned "puttin' on the foil".

Well, ultimately missed the game...  Not that it was overly memorable anyway.  Diane went with a friend instead.  I, on the other hand, had (have) pneumonia (not bronchitis) and was chilling at home.

Which was for the best I guess, but still annoyed I dropped all that on the game, then of course that week, I'm sick.

Half of it. :(  Slept through the first half.

The Pens are getting #TheSlap'd these days, so I maybe would've gotten #TheSlap'd by the security at the arena had I gone anyway.   ::)

Thank you Chicago for beating Winnipeg without involving OT.  We appreciate your efforts.   Now do the same to the Kings.

Ask and you shall receive.  Best game I've seen the Hawks play in a while.  They need to keep that momentum going through the end of the season and into the playoffs.

Two weeks left... love this graphic that the NHL has been posting:

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CBZeQUSWAAA7-AT.jpg:large

7 point lead with 6 to go... finally starting to feel a bit safer about making the playoffs.  Been a really, really long journey since January.

Wondering how much worse it will get before they get back on track...  at this point, we may have already dug ourselves a hole so big that we won't be able to get out.

All we needed was a Dubnyk.  #Dubnyk4President

Anyway, back to the race...  despite what the graphic shows, I think we all agree after the loss last night, the Stars are done.  6 points behind with 6 left requires a LOT of help to pass TWO teams.

Take a look at that Kings schedule - TWO against EDM, one againstCOL, VAN, CGY, SJS.    Man... juicy points there.

Jets - NYR who are struggling right now, VAN, MIN, STL, COL, CGY.  Some winable games in there and some good tests - NYR, MIN, STL.

Flames - two winable games with EDM and ARI, some tough games with WIN, LAK, STL.

That Jets/Flames game on 4/11 would be an epic game to attend I think...  I can only imagine what your building would be like with playoffs on the line for the victor of that game.

It will likely come down to that.  The schedule makers are certainly liking the Pacific.  Wait, the Pacific sucks, so if you play there, how hard can it really be?  Arizona AND Edmonton?  Gimme a break :P

Honestly, I'm not liking our chances.  We really needed to win in Vancouver last week to help a bit more (and not give up a goal with thirty seconds left to Chicago).  I haven't been worried about the Wild for some time, I've just counted them as in.  It's the Flames/Kings that irritate/scare me.  Now would be a really nifty time for regression to kick in on the Flames scoring.  Like right freaking now.
