This Threepio is just a reissue of VC06, correct?

Looks like a RotS Palpatine in the pics.  I'd prefer one that looked like the older Jedi version... and as someone pointed out on Yak, where's the force lightning?

The deco looks much more like a ROTJ Palpatine from looking at this picture.  The cane was more a ROTJ accessory, not ROTS.

But my oh my!  I am just pleased as can be about Leia in Boussh disguise and Han Solo in carbonite!!!!!!

Good pics, Jeff!  And thanks!!!

I'm guessing by the photos I've seen from Jeff so far that the 3PO is a Build-A-Droid one.  It's definitely looking to use that type of plastic, which usually means articulation.  Otherwise I think it'd be chromed.

Nick, I was going by the head-sculpt for Palpy.  Hopefully it's the lighting, but there's something about the prequel head-sculpt that just doesn't synch with the Jedi version for me.  Kind of like OT Yoda's head looks cooler to me than the PT one.  Isn't the robe a little short, too?  I thought it was full length.  Seems like it stops at the knee. Or maybe I never noticed that his outer robe was shorter?

Not to want to sound negative on the one figure, that 6" Boussh is amazing for the headsculpt.  It's really going to be hard to know which way I'll display it, helmet-wise.  One of my favorite figures and getting her in both lines!

It's a bit tiny bit of a kitbash, but the base (90%) is the TVC 3PO, yeah.  Definitely the dud of the wave...  but Mosep and New Han and New Boussh and new Jawas make me not really care if he sucks.  ;)

Back at the hotel now and working on the nicer pics from my Nikon (though my iPhone did pretty good for the twitter stuff).

I was so tempted to just grab that Han and run...  :-[

Oh and the Carbonite Block.  Just awesome...  detail on the side panels was great (but... it is a hand painted proto so the final probably won't be so nice :().

ps - I apologize to the 6" collectors because after looking through my pics, I definitely was way more interested taking pics of the 3.75" stuff.   :-X

Those Jawas looked huge in the pics, haha.  I'm still confused on those.

I've wanted a new Han Carbo and Mosep for eons, so I'm giddy.

Good stuff. I can't say I'm excited for some stuff like Boussh but then it's been 9 years since the last one and I forget it isn't fully SA. Loving the Han and Mosep!

Our Hasbro image galleries are going live...  I put up some Marvel and Transformers stuff too, but since I know very little about those lines anymore, I really had no idea what was new or old or whatever.  Clicky the button below to check them out!

You can get a better look at 3PO in our image database now.

You can see the glued on panels there, but without my TVC 3PO to reference, I couldn't tell you what the "new parts" they said he had were...

So would you say the Jawas are 3.75" scale or 6" scale, Jeff?

I really, really, really hope the final product turns out as nice as the hard copy on hand tonight... the block, the binders, the articulation.  :-*

They are suposed to be 3.75" scale.  They are a little on the tall side, but they were definitely intended to be a 3.75" product.

As was pointed out on the JD Twitter, they work for the "tall Jawas" at the Lars' homestead scene:

Awesome. Thanks for the clarification and photos. Kinda weak that they're re-releasing this one but I expect we'll see an all-new Threepio for the Episode VII launch. Hopefully his appearance hasn't changed that much...

I just compared my 3PO to the pic Jeff, and I see nothing new on them off-hand...  The paint is a tad different but that's about it, and not unexpected on a proto.

I'd say he's definitely the forgettable figure.

Can't wait for a couple Han's...  Gantry, thaw, Skiff fighting, etc.

I want to custom up that block to light up too.  Looks difficult, but doable.
