The Wal-Mart Jabba was an excellent figure, so I think I'm fine.

I agree.  The Wal-Mart Jabba is near perfect.  And it came with the dais!
This is the way.

Just swap out an old Jabba and return the set to the store.
I know how Jesse likes figure swapper jokes.   ;)

I'm still the only who remembers years ago when someone at Hasbro said multipacks would either be all-new or all-reissue. That person must've been reassigned.  :-X

Better than figure swapper headlines.   ::) :P

Seeing lots of rumors that this set will be one of those "buy it first at SDCC" sets like TRU has done the past few years (last year's was the Han/Greedo 6" 2-pack).

Still can't believe Hasbro is putting an all-new Jabba in a $130 pack filled out with repacks.  I do not understand at all the desire that some collectors have for Hasbro to put one new thing in every battle pack, especially these $100+ sets.

Just seems like a dick way to get people to buy your over-priced box of repacks by sneaking one new thing in there.   :-\

Yeah I get Hasbro doing it but I find the collectors who champion it to be nothing sort of perplexing.  They're often the same people who bitch about the line incessantly too, yet this angle is acceptable.  That's a confusing stance to have.  Unless, of course, you don't own the big pieces in it already.

Personally I liked the WM Jabba so I'm not quite sure what the 6" figure scaled down does appeal-wise to trump the other figure, not to mention no Dais and all the other goodies.

Have we gotten any official confirmation that the Jabba is new? I just remember all of a sudden websites were saying "yeah it's new" and all we've gotten is that one RAZR quality cell phone picture for proof. If anyone with knowledge actually came out and said Jabba was new, I missed it.

Hasbro confirmed it (sorta) at Celebration Anaheim:

"...can you confirm if that is a new 3.75” Jabba the Hutt inside?"

Hasbro: I'll have to go back to the team to make sure, but I believe so, all-new.

So, no...they haven't confirmed it.

Honestly, I think it's a good pack for those who don't have the Rancor yet.  (That would be me).  I'm not sure it's $130 worth of nice, but it would be nice to have another Gamorean Guard...I never got a fourth for my Jabba dio.

Being generous at $10/fig, that still is pricey on Jabba sans anything extra and the Rancor.  Wonder what either those sell for these days?

There should be some kind of sale for this too...  Still won't buy for just that Hutt but yeah if that is all stuff someone needs it's an ok purchase.  For most it is a kick to the nuts on that Jabba though.

Other people are so used to crazy prices they are calling it a bargain. I actually don't have anything in that set besides the Gamorrean and Leia, and it still seems pricey.

I've lost perspective in toy collecting. Or maybe just interest.

Assuming the figures are $10 each, four of them is $40, and the individual carded figures had more accessories
The Rancor was sold first at $40, then $50
Walmart Jabba was sold anywhere between $30 and $40 depending on the store, but even that came with the dias, pillows, Crumb, and Oola

Even if you count the Luke as a part of the Rancor package and not an individual figure it's still a bit of a ripoff. But like I said, I don't have a lot of the stuff in the set so I'll probably pick one up.
