Got my shipment from HTS. Just wanted to comment that these "build-a-weapon" things are total junk. I would much rather see the figures $1 cheaper w/o the pack-in piece. I think the ONLY reason why these pieces are in there are so that collectors will buy the figures that they don't want just to build the "new" weapon/droid item.

I can totally understand having the First Order Stormtrooper and Kylo Ren carrying forward into the Wave 2 assortments, but why the heck did we need the Rebels Inquisitor figure to be released again? And if you're going to put Kylo Ren out on a card again, why not the Armor-up version instead of the Wave 1 version?

If they wanted to put a Rebels figure in the Jungle/Space Wave 2 assortment would it have killed them to make it Sabine w/o her helmet? Yes, I know that would have meant a new head sculpt, but the body would have been exactly the same as the release from last year. That would mean out of the Ghost crew, the ONLY character left to get a re-release would have been Hera since we've already gotten Kanan (twice), Ezra, Zeb & Chopper in the TFA packaging - but I certainly DIDN'T need the Inquisitor again, and with him dead on the show, I doubt very many kids need/want him either at this point.

Here's hoping that the Wave 3 assortments are light on the carry-forwards across both of the sub-lines - the three in Desert/Snow wave 2 was a bit much. At least the Jungle/Space wave 2 set only had two repacks - and if there are any Rebels figures, they are at least somewhat new (like a helmet-less Sabine) or completely new (like a Seventh Sister).

Has there been any announcement as to what the figures are going to be on those Wave 3 assortments?

Not yet... that info seems to be embargoed until 12/18.

Looks like EE has updated the case listings for Forest/Space Wave 3 and Snow/Desert Wave 3.

Both Wave 3 cases are made up of 1x each of the six figures from Wave 1 & the six figures from Wave 2.  So... a case of 12 repacks.

Boring.  :-\

Boring yes - but most definitely a smart move. That puts the entire carded 5POA line out for people to buy right as the movie is coming out. From a "I don't have anything yet" standpoint - it also makes a lot of sense allowing someone to get "caught up".

Not a bad deal IMHO since this is what you'd end up with for $200:
  • 22 Unique Figures
  • 1 Extra First Order Stormtrooper
  • 1 Extra Kylo Ren
  • 8 Unique Build-a-Weapons

Oh man, I don't have time at work right now to dig through Amazon.ca, but there are riches there to be found if you search for the right terms...

Some of these figures are actually starting to look really great.  I don't mind the lack of articulation nearly as much if they display really well and don't look like junk.

Unkar Plutt is a vending/gaming repairman, and fixes the claw game in the local mall.

There, his EU backstory is complete.

Did Sheryl Crowe used to ride with him? Has he been down that hyperspace lane more than twice? Is he high on intellectualism?

That figure is  amusing. The stained boots and the armor is like a "wife beater" tank top.
