Forest/Space Wave 3 =
forest - Rey #2, Han, Hassk

Wonder if those slots will be repacks or if we'll see 6 more figures soon to be revealed?

I think there are two possibilities:

1) The three Space figures are army builders - the person who found the Hassk Thug, Han and 2nd Ren picked up the left-overs and someone beat them to all six of the Space figures from the case, but only bought 1 each of the Han, Thug and Ren figures; OR

2) The person who found the figures left the Space figures behind because they were all repacks

While the "hater of repacks" in me hopes that it's scenario #1 where the three Space figures are all new army builders worthy of getting multiples of, I know that is highly unlikely, especially combined with the fact that no 3-figure grouping yet has been 100% army-builders - the closest were Snow Wave 2 Asty/Stormtrooper/Snowtrooper and Space Wave 1 Poe/Resistance Trooper/TIE Pilot.

The pic itself has become the centerpiece in some DMCA news.  Disney and Lucasfilm (but not Hasbro) have filed DMCA claims to have the image pulled from various social media outlets, despite the fact that this figure was purchased much in the same way any other collector buys Star Wars figures.  It happened to leak out from a WalMart store in Iowa.  Yet Disney and Lucasfilm are going after the people who posted the images, and there have been no public announcements from Disney regarding concerns about the early release of embargoed, licensed merchandise by one of their largest retail partners.  Hmmmm...

With THE FORCE AWAKENS being released in theaters today, I thought that we would start to see more of this basic figure line.  But I've seen hints of a street date for the remainder of the line, and it's NOT before Christmas.  Has anyone else heard about a January 14th date for the remainder of the line?

I've heard 12/18, 12/19, 12/25, 1/1, and now 1/14.

It's clear they are trying to hold some stuff until the movie's out... but "out" can mean a day or a week or a month I guess.

I just want my Rey Finn and Poe so I can put a cap on this.  I want the 5poa aliens but I'm not butthurt if I miss them either.

Tho man, 5poa Han I kinda want and to make him poseable.  Geezer is a badass.

I just dropped by the TRU store closest to their corporate HQ on my way to my screening of THE FORCE AWAKENS.  If there's one store in the chain that is a stickler for street dates, it's this one.  Well, it looks like they restocked for the movie release, but that's it.  No new figures on the pegs.

If they really held back to prevent spoiling the movie plot, I'm guessing they'll give it another week or three before things really start to show up so more people can see it.

Although you'd think they'd want the shelves overflowing before Christmas, so...

Nope.

I was hoping that EE/BBTS would be able to put up case assortments after the movie opened, but it sounds like they can't yet.

The January 14th date is making more sense to me.  I think the Disney/JJ Abrams mystery box didn't want to allow any spoiler-ish toys making it into the pipeline...even before Christmas.  I think if the street date had been December 18th or 19th, then Disney and Lucasfilm wouldn't have have had such an extreme response to that Rey - Resistance Outfit leak from SWAN.

And then there are retail sales patterns to consider.  Everything builds up to Christmas, with clearance sales to follow the week after.  Early January brings retail inventory.  And January/February are totally DEAD at retail, at least until Toy Fair.  But if Hasbro is offering up new product in mid-January?  They're going to own the toy sales landscape for a good couple of months.
