TFA 3.75" First Order Legion 7-Pack Box Set
« on: September 3, 2015, 11:54 PM »
Star Wars The Force Awakens 3.75-Inch Figure Troop Builder 6-Pack PLUS Phasma

"Born from the remnants of the Empire, the First Order emerged as a power to be reckoned with in the years following the battle of Endor. The First Order constructed massive fleets of next generation Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters, and bolstered surviving Stormtrooper legions with fresh recruits and powerful new weapons. Take command with this 7 figure Troop Builder Pack including Captain Phasma, First Order Stormtrooper, First Order Flametrooper, First Order Snowtrooper, First Order TIE Fighter Pilot, First Order Riot Control Stormtrooper, and First Order Heavy Artillery Stormtrooper. "

Boxed pic

Not sure if this is an Amazon exclusive or what... looks like a fancy 7-pack of figures that may repacks?  Riot Control Stormtrooper and Heavy Artillery Stormtrooper look new, but they may also be coming in the 5POA basic line too..

Yeah, me too, preordered two of them. Like the design of the riot control First Order Stormtrooper.

Kinda wish Phasma wasn't in the box set, but oh well...

Got the email.  It's fine by me.  Spacing out my spending on a set like this isn't really an issue.

Delayed long enough that the next SA waves will be announced and army building fans will be like "forget the 7 pack, I'd rather spend money on more articulated figures"

Yeah I saw all the outrage on social media over this and couldn't understand why they're mad...  You pre-ordered, you're getting it...  does when really matter to you?  All the cool extra gear almost is making me want to order it actually.  I dig that heavy weapon on a stand, the riot gear, etc.

I don't want the snowtroopers particularly.  That's my buggaboo there.

Probably the entitlement generation. Gotta have it NOW!

I like CHEWIE's theory over at Yakface, that Hasbro miscalculated how many figures to make, so they're focusing the supplies on single carded figures.

My only issue would be that by the time the set is released in February 2016, everything could have already been released in the basic figure line by then.

It's a nice set, but if I already have everything in it by the time it comes out, I'll cancel and save the $50 probably.

Yeah...  I see that point, but hey, the price isn't bad on a per-figure basis, you can pre-order and forget...  I'm wondering if all these are destined for single figures too.  Kinda would've been nice to know that.  :-X  I haven't ordered it yet but I'm regularly tempted to do so.

I think it's something like that, but not that precisely.

More likely?  The number of pre-orders exceeded the expectations of both Hasbro and Amazon. And rather than have a number of customers grouse about why they didn't receive their order while others did, I think Hasbro and Amazon opted to delay the release so that they could meet expectations for the pre-orders.

Just an FYI that this is back up for pre-order again if you missed out the first time...

This might be worth a purchase just for the riot gear and heavy artillery vest. Hopefully they fit on the Black Series Stormtroopers.

I think some people have already received their orders on these.  I don't know if anyone has been able to confirm if that heavy weapons trooper has a removable vest or not.  But clearly, the riot control trooper is all about the shield and baton.
