Got tickets for Eric Clapton's 3rd Crossroads festival in Chicago for this June.  Topping the bill are Clapton, Jeff Beck, the Allman Brothers Band, BB King, and a whole lot more.  An incredibly lineup for one day of music!

I saw BB King at the North Sea Jazz festival here in Holland last year. That was one experience I'll never forget. Just beautiful.

Recently went to Machine Head and Fear Factory. Pretty damn awesome! And me and my best pal met up with Dino from Fear Factory!

Scored fourth row on the floor for Tom Petty this summer.  Rumour that Iron Maiden is possibly heading back through town again this summer as well.

Secured Maiden tickets today, third row in section 107 which is the first section to the side of the stage, perfect seats for those disinclined to the pit.  Much better seats than last time.

Caught Somewhere in Time.....Last Maiden album I listened to from them...Must have been in 86-87 or so?  Good stuff.  I was 8 and loved it - thanks to my older brother.  Always dug the Eddie Monster and the "stoner" t-shirts in the years that followed.

Thanks for the reminder... I need to look into Maiden tickets for the Chicago show.

Fan club only costs about $15 to join, gets you tickets 2-3 days ahead of time.  The tickets I got were exactly where I wanted them to be for this show.  Contemplating going to The Commitments next week, but not sure what the makeup of the band is.

Heard about The Commitments a couple days ago, I check online & they are playing in Sherwood Park just outside the city... sold out!  >:(   I found 1 ticket on Kijiji for $38. so I'm waiting for a reply.

The Commitments Web Site

For the lazy ass...  ::)

Quote
The current touring band features the following regular members:

Drums: Dick Massey
Guitar: Kenneth McCluskey
Vocals: Joe Walsh, Karen Coleman, Claire Malone
Bass: Eric Okafo
Keyboards: Abraham Hampton
Saxophone: Alex Mathias
Trumpet: Stefano Muscovi

Dick Massey and Kenneth McCluskey both featured strongly in the movie "The Commitments" as Billy "The Animal" Mooney and Derek "Meat-man" Scully respectively.

Thanks for the tip Brent.

How much were the tickets?  Maybe I'm just being dumb but I can't find the price on Livenation's website.

Cool, that's about what I was expecting.  I went ahead and signed up for the fan club today... split the price with my buddy who's also going.  Seemed like a very small price to pay for the chance to be as close as possible.

Just got back from The Commitments, holy hell did that place rock! The seat I had was awesome & the people I got the ticket from were fantastic, Commitment groupies they are & the beer they bought me was sweet.  ;D

Had a blast, 1st time at the Festival Place & it was perfect. Sort of a mini Vegas set up, some tables close to the stage, rows of seats behind, booth seating on the sides (table with 4 seating were I was) & a 2nd level but all the seats look great. Even got to meet the Commitments after the show.  :o   8)

The lady I got the ticket from bought them 6 months ago when they went on sale & I only found out they were coming when Brent mentioned it here, IOU.  ;)

I would go see them in a heart beat.  8)

Got 'em.

Seat location: section PIT, row G3

I can't find a decent seating chart of the venue, but that sounds like 7th row to me.
