I'd have to say, Metallica's show last night was great! The Sword and Machine Head were both solid openers, and Metallica, although sloppy in some parts, was in mostly top form. The set list for the Washington DC show:

The Ecstasy Of Gold
That Was Just Your Life
The End of the Line
The Four Horsemen (!)
Harvester Of Sorrow
One
Broken, Beat & Scarred
Cyanide
Sad But True
Wherever I May Roam
All Nightmare Long
The Day That Never Comes
Master Of Puppets
Battery
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman
-------------------
Die Die My Darling
Motorbreath
Seek and Destroy

However, I was really disappointed they didn't play anything from Ride The Lightning. I think playing six songs from the new album was a bit much, too. Overall it was a fantastic show, I'll definitely try and catch Metallica the next time they stop near here.

I'm going to see Ron "Tater Salad" White tomorrow night.  Would that qualify as a concert?   :D
This is the way.

93.7 (KRXX) announced this past weekend that Metallica will be coming to the Twin Cities on Tuesday, October 13th 2009. Tickets go on sale on Saturday, April 4th.

I WILL BE ATTENDING this concert. First time I will have seen Metallica since 2000.

I went and saw DEVO on Wednesday, and it was the greatest thing ever.

A friend of mine and I are debating going to Crue Fest 2 in August.  Motley Crue, Godsmack, Drowning Pool, and  I think one other band are going to be playing.  I've got to admit to having never been to a metal/rock concert before.  I've gone to a ton of country concerts though.

They might be doing more of it now that they've got a new album on the way.  One can only hope, because if they come back, I'm there.

Scored a ticket to U2's Chicago show in September.  ;D Well, the first night anyway. Now there's a second night after the near-instantaneous sellout this morning.

U2's first show at Gillette Stadium sold out in less than 10 minutes, so no luck there.  They added a second show and a local radio station gave out the presale password.  So on September 21st, I'll also be seeing the TBWOGS. Can't wait.

In the meantime, I'm going to see if I can score Kings of Leon tickets at Boston University.

Got to love Premature Ticket Discharg - Have fun with this one Justin.

93X a local radio station the day before tickets go on sale for bands they play have a Premature Ticket Discharge for their fans to go on line and order tickets early. I just ordered mine for Metallica on 10/13. I can't wait for the concert since it has been 9 years since I have seen them.

Yeah, I was going to get Metallica tickets too on the presale locally, but only the third upper deck was left  ::)  I'd rather save $75 and get a DVD than pay for those nosebleeds, there's just no point for them.  I was in right as they went onsale too.  I'll see if they saved any good seats for the regular folks when the full sale goes tomorrow, if not, no Metallica for me.
