I just bought Chinese Democracy on Friday at the Edina Best Buy in Minnesota for $4.99.  Not sure if this is the price at all Best Buy's or just this store.  They must be having a lot of trouble getting rid of there extra copies of it.  Have not listened to it yet, so jury is still out on it for me.

So, I have never seen them but have listened to the odd tunes. Just from reading this thread over time, they are  must see.

Should I go? General public sale goes up this Friday but I should able to get tic's through the Live Nation presale this Thrusday.

Also, Brent. Those prices for tickets in winterpeg suck man. Are you going to the concert too?

I would go, they are awesome live. Axl sounds great and they play a pretty good set. I hope they come to this forsaken state or else i am going to have to fly home just for a show. I wouldn't mind driving out to LA or Vegas to see them again.

Ok, so I beat the rush & got 2 tickets with the presale passcode for the cheap seats. Sitting at section 211, row 32 (marked with red x) 1 minute after they went on sale. I have sat in those upper sections at hockey games & the odd concerts so I have no problems with the seats, just need to bring a couple of binoculars & scott air packs . 

For $69.50, I could have got the same section but 4 rows lower. 

I'm sure glad I did not go for the $89.50 tickets, that price is for the floor & standing only, no seating. 



Now with that being a Sunday night, I have to book it off as I work the grave shift. 

I'm really looking forward to this concert.

Oh I guess not, that would be like telling me who Luke's father is or how the movie Titanic ended. 

Good thing I have the nite off work, my buddy may get a couple hrs sleep tho.

It was kinda bizarre.  Couple of opening acts then they basically tore down the stage almost entirely    Put it back together and eventually (10:30 or so) G'n'R comes out and plays quasi-new stuff for 45 minutes then goes away    For almost half an hour.  Then they came back and played for a little over two hours of nothing but classics. 

I guess it's fun to screw with people that pay to see you play but that was pretty close to the limit.

Interesting, they seem to have a good review that I read here tho they do mention the late start which was earlier than last time. 

Lot's of fireworks/explosions, 7,500 attended. Is that low?

Yeah, very low really, but last time they came they started at 12:00 A.M. and it was mid-week, so lots of folks were gunshy about the show really.  Metallica sold out in 15 minutes for about 16-17K, so half full arena really.  

That review is generous.  He didn't sound as good as the last show and that it was the first show of the tour seemed to show.
