Hm. I wonder if she's lopsided in action figure form as well.
So I guess this means all the demons/big bads are exclusive to 2 and 3 packs. Witness D'Hoffryn and now Glory.

I wouldn't mind buying Glory, but I really don't want a Dawn figure.

The next two pack is Glory and Dawn:

Glory looks awful.

I'm hoping that's just lighting Ben :-X

I can pass on that set pretty easily.  I wonder, am I the only one that thinks the facial sculpts of the older figures are better?  I was pumped about new Faith figures but once I saw them up close I opted to buy the older version instead.  I'm ok with the new Buffy, but the rest haven't done much for me (mostly because I passed on vampire sculpts).

I'm beginning to think MAC has DST beat in the sculpting/likeness department, but DST has better availibility and more figures in their corner.

I just opened the Serenity figures I bought a couple days ago.

I have never spent more money on ******** figures in my life.
Mercenary Jayne's arms are completely immobile. Not just at the shoulders, but also at both elbows, upper arms, and wrists. His knees are pretty much fused as well. The only articulation points that work are the feet and the neck. He holds his myriad of weapons well, if you can get them in his hands. The head sculpt looks OK, better than Mal, anyway. All in all, I can't believe I spent $20 on this figure.

Mal fares a little better, but not much. Both his shoulders don't move, but at least his elbows bend and his wrists twist. The legs and head move properly as well.
His hands aren't sculpted well, at all. Only by sheer force is he holding his revolver as he stands here on my desk.
The face sculpt doesn't even resemble Mal or Nathan Fillion at all.

The paint on both of them looks OK, but I think that's what is holding all the joints frozen. I think I'll have to try the boiling water trick, but I'm afraid that might ruin the paint jobs on these figures. No faith in specialty market paint jobs here.

The overall verdict? If you're a big, big fan like me, I'd buy them, but keep 'em MOC. They're useless loose.
But if you're not a big fan, I'd suggest taking your money elsewhere.
Maybe it's a good thing DST isn't making anymore. If the rest of the crew gets made to the standards of these two, this line will be considered the worst toy line since The Matrix by N2 Toys.
There's really no excuse in this day and age of such plastic-smithing marvels that figures like this are sold. These aren't cheap by any means (average price $15 a crack) but I've seen better quality in the CORPS! crap available at WM for a dollar a piece.

I've had a stuck joint on a couple of DST Buffy figures, and I've had Lorne's head fall off on me, so I daresay DST needs to spend a little more time on quality if they're going to charge $13-15 each for their figures. I hope the upcoming DST Star Trek line doesn't suffer the same fate.

I finally caved in and bought a Buffy figure locally.  Previews exclusive version I think.  Needing a Cordelia and Xander now.

That'd be the 'Once More, With Feeling' superposeable Buffy, right? Great choice.  :)

Yeah, that's the one.  It was that or the one with the changeable arms (Graduation Day?).  I liked this one better though.

I have yet to locate the GD Buffy. I have the End of Days Buffy in a blue jacket, and that one has interchangeable arms too.

I hope the Deluxe Angel and Spike figures are this good.

Deluxe Angel and Spike pics.

I like them, but they can keep the blood-splattered versions.

There will, of course, be variants to make things interesting:
Hawaiian Shirt Angel
Hawaiian Shirt Spike
50's Angel
"School Hard" Spike in red shirt

Summers family three pack.

I dunno about Joyce. It looks to me like Dawn and Joyce have the wrong bodies, since Dawn is so tall. It looks like Joyce's head on a Willow body, which isn't exactly right for Joyce's age.

And, I found this pic in a sig at BtVSFigs. I guess it's official images of Xander, Cordy, and Joyce. I'm not sure, though, so don't quote me on it.

Vamp, Military, and eyepatch Xander figures? Sold American.  ;)

Yup, they're real. I finally found some Toy Fair coverage of DST, and they're all there. Only one Cordy that I can see, though.

I think you'll want to check these out.

They're also showing off the Library playset, something that was supposed to be out in November. Hopefully it's still coming out.

That looks cool. I hope they do a playset for Angel as well. Maybe the Hyperion lobby? That and release a Gunn figure. Only main Angel character left to make.

BTW did the Library set come out yet?

LOL, Hawaiian shirt versions I may actually pick up.  I'm weird that way.

I'm still stuck on the original Cordelia versions though, just like I was with Faith.  The head sculpt is better IMO.

Here's 2 more Cordys:

Also, there is one pic of a "Watcher's Guide" 3 pack of Spike, Wesley, and Giles.

Cool, The Wish Cordelia would do just fine for my collection.  Very cool not to have to chase an older figure.  Thanks for posting that.
