Oooh...

And it looks like the Clippers Cleared Cap Room to prepare for the big run at Kobe.

So much for the "LEastern" Conference jokes I guess.  Detroit and Miami will both have some big-gun power next year...

What happens when Shaq-Fu is in Miami, Kobe's with the Clippers, Malone retires, and Payton balks on his contract to retire as well... think Rudy T can make it with Fox/Walton/Odom/Butler/Grant?   :D

Back to his "roots" apparently?  The landscape of the NBA is definitely changing for next season though...T-Mac in Houston, Shaq in Miami...who knows who is next :).

What do you guys think of the whole Boozer thing

The occasional bottle of Canada's finest doesn't make you a boozer...
OH.  You meant Carlos Boozer.

Uh, if he really did have a deal with the Cav worked out and then balked for more cash, that's kinda cheap.  But, if there was no agreement with the Cavs (as he seems to indicate) then it's too bad for Cleveland I guess.

Paxton probably deserves a little heat though for not getting things done BEFORE he got out into the open market...

I know, I forgot that too at first...I was like "32?...ooooh yeaaaah"  Wade, Jones, and Shaquille could be a strong trio next season.  Oh, and the Heat also signed Michael Doleac...so the title is sewn up :P

Minnesota Timberwolves...2004-2005 NBA Champions?  ;)

I think the Spurs, Wolves, Kings, Pistons and Rockets should all be contenders.  Still a ways to go though...the Nuggets might actually be pretty dang good if they land Martin and Kobe could still somehow suprise everyone wher he ends up

Lakers.  All the way.  You heard it here first.

Luke Walton and Kareem Rush will lead us back to the promised land, in our return to glory.  Mark my words...

And who's this Shaq fella everyone's babbling about?  Is he that big fatass dude that never plays any D, and just dunks a lot?  Starred in a couple real crappy movies and made a rap album or two?

You're absolutely right.  Thanks B!   :-*

Speaking of which, is it just me, or does Shaq look a bit like Darth Maul in this ESPN.com picture:

I love that he's claiming that he hasn't even reached his prime yet.  That's funny.  If he turns his game up a notch in upcoming years, all that will prove to most of us was that his fat ass was indeed loafing it while he played here in L.A., as we've often accused him of.

Honestly, the only things I care about this NBA offseason are these things:

-That the Nets don't have to play the Heat much

-That the Nets are able to re-sign Kenyon Martin

-That Jason Kidd's knee surgery goes well

Beyond that, I think the only other thing of interest is if some team is going to seriously pursue Kobe even while he's going to be on trial for rape.

Sounds like there might be a possible sign and trade in the works between the Nuggets and the Nets involving K-Mart.  This story is talking about the possibility of multiple draft picks being sent New Jersey's way in exchange for Martin, with Denver not having to actually give up any players.  Carmelo and K-Mart could be a potent combo in Denver.

Also, Kobe is supposedly to announce his decision between the Clippers and Lakers sometime this afternoon.  Wonder which way he is headed?
