So what'd everyone think of the commercials?  I thought they were totally weak this year.  My favorite was probably the "wannabe donkey" one.  A couple other Budweiser ones were alright, but other than that, not much really jumped out at me.

I was pretty bummed that Pepsi pulled the Britney/Beyonce/Pink gladiator commercial at the very last second, especially after hearing about it all week long on TV!   >:(  Pepsi said they changed their minds, and that it didn't fit with their current marketing strategy.  WTF?!?   ::)  Apparently, they only showed it in Europe.  Anyone find a clip of it on the net yet?  If so, please share!   :-*

So what commercials struck your fancy?

I came so close to winning my work super bowl pool, if only the Panthers coach went for the win instead of the tie which lead to his team losing.  I didn't get why he decided to only kick the extra point instead of try for the two point conversion ... its the Fing Championship play like you want to win.   I guess I'm just mad at losing a chance at some money.   >:(

The commericals I wasn't paying to much attention too so I didn't see any I like.

Reason #77 Canada sucks:

Local television stations black out the commercials and insert their oh-so-cruddy comercials from local furniture stores, news reports, etc. >:(  That sucks so bad it burns.

Well, from what I remember it was a great game, I missed all of the first quarter, most of the second quarter and seemed to be dozing through the third and fourth quarters on and off.  It was a lot better than I thought it would be and a lot higher scoring.  Kudos to the Patriots and the Panthers!

IIRC, it was never slated to air in the U.S. according to Access Hollywood, when they teased it the 2nd week of January.

Anywho, here it is.

Just a glimpse of the Pats victory parade / pep rally yesterday.  I wasn't at the above photo (the pep rally portion) but sawthe parade.  Afterwards, a bunch of us to a bar (right across the street from City Hall plaza, where the pep rally was) and watched it from there.  Nothing better than drinking beer on company time.

The comercial that struck my fancy was the Dog Bud Lite commerical.

Makes me want to be an alchoholic so I can nurse a beer and laugh quietly to myself about the dogs.

Man, seeing the celebration  makes me so wish the Vikes will win the big one some day :'(

Congrats to Carl Eller who finally made the Hall of Fame (and to Elway and Sanders too!)  Makes you feel old when players you grew up watching are being inducted to the HoF (Jim Kelly, Elway, Sanders, Montana etc)

Well, if ya liked the game, the DVD is out 2/24, for $19 at DeepDiscountDVD.com.

It includes the entire Super Bowl, as well as a bunch of other coverage.

You might want to read that again.  It doesn't include the entire game, just highlights.

And just in case anyone missed it, here's the kick that won it all:
