30 second snippets of all of the songs are here for the Pearl Jam Lost Dogs CD...

Eh...I guess there is a reason a lot of these songs were not on the regular CD's.  Some of the stuff is cool but some of it needs to grow on me a bit :-*

Heard they took "Angel" off the set--and what's worse, they didn't put anything else in it's place.  Too bad--that was a cool song, and one of the only nine or so songs that I was familiar with before.

Eh, record companies suck.

Anyway, I've been listening to a little of Sarah McLachlan's Surfacing today, along with Van Morrison's Astral Weeks and Moondance a little earlier.

Good stuff, all around. . .

Yeah, so the other night, I fell asleep listening to a Radiohead MP3 disc--something like six hours' worth--and one of the dreams I had involved me, wearing only a bath towel, eating dinner in a really fancy restaurant in Venice, Italy, while everybody else was dressed in tuxedos and expensive dresses.  I ordered some tacos, because they were the cheapest, but then didn't have any money, so Dad wound up paying for it.

Now, whether or not the Radiohead playing in the background had anything to do with that dream, I'll never know.

So, watch what you listen to before you fall asleep, kids. . .

It's varying between Radiohead's "Kid A", "Amnesiac", and The Flaming Lips' "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots"

New Eagles Greatest Hits.

Of course I'm also getting a fair amount of the new Fleetwood Mac, and Norah Jones since that's what Patty's been listening to for the past 3 weeks...   :-\

But we have been jamming to some pretty cool 80's compilations while we're painting our bedroom and bathroom this weekend.  Now that's some fun stuff!   8)

I know I leave a little to be desired in the trendy department.

As do I.  Especially in the eyes of all the hard modern rockers that seem to be most Star Wars collectors these days...   :P

At least the wifey likes Pearl Jam though.   :-*

Ah, don't worry about this collector being too trendy as far as music goes.  The Norah Jones record is awesome.  And I've got plenty of other gems that people might not expect.  Warren Zevon's "The Wind"  has also seen plenty of spin time in my car's CD player.  What a way to say goodbye, and have all your cool friends like Springsteen, Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, Billy Bob Thornton and your son help see you off at the end of your musical journey.

There's also the perennial Miles Davis hanging around my CD player.  Usually one of my all-time favorite albums, "Kind Of Blue" (IMO, the greatest jazz album ever), or some Charles Mingus.  I usually lose a lot of people there.  But how can you deny that a title like "The shoes of the fisherman's wife are some jive-ass slippers" isn't the greatest song title ever?!

LOL

Me and my Brother played NCAA 2004 on Saturday and listened on Random to 5 Pearl Jam CD's (shock) Vs, No Code, Yield, Binaural and Riot Act...

(this is for Gregg) I also listened to The Wiggles three times in the car...great stuff.  They have a new CD coming out called Wiggly Gremlins that will be high on a certain someone's wishlist.

Truth be told I think my son's vocabulary is 100 times larger than it should be thanks to the Wiggles.  The average 18 month old I believe knows 20 words, Max can say at least 300 and can sing along to quite a few songs.  He is a maniac...so at least there is one good thing to come out of Australia

Keeping a spot warm for Lost Dogs tomorrow...can't wait! Best price I saw was $12 for the CD and $12 for the DVD both at Target!
