Today's Featured iPod Selection:

Telephone Free Landslide Victory by Camper Van Beethoven

"Some people say that bowling alleys got big lanes
got big lanes, got big lanes
Some people say that bowling alleys all look the same
look the same, look the same
There's not a line that goes here that rhymes with anything
anything, anything
Had a dream last night but I forget what it was
what it was, what it was
Take the skinheads bowling, take them bowling..."

It's not the best album...

I disagree. Ride the Lightning is definitely my favorite Metallica album. I like Kill 'Em All and Master of Puppets as well, but they don't have the same impact for me as RTL does. That being said, I haven't listened to it in a very long time myself, so I'm going to go and grab it and put it on right now. "Fade to Black" just feels like an appropriate song for me to listen to right now.

It used to be my favorite, but Puppets just comes out ahead now.
I don't disagree, though, RTL does have a punch. I love the title track, and For Whom the Bell Tolls. Possibly the greatest Metallica song of all time.

But on the whole, I prefer Puppets.

Just picked up Bright Eyes "I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning". And it's been spinning ever since.

Thanks. I saw it but passed because I was feeling cash poor. The disc was less than $9 at Target, and I saw "Urn" there for the same price, along with the long titled album from 2004 (Lifted).

I did pick up a $15 iTunes card, so I'll be checking "Urn" out for a song or two from that. Any recommendations?

It's official. I just got sick of "The Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense". It's been a good 21 years, fellas. Thanks.

"You're the One for Me, Fatty" is still one of my favorite songs of all time.

This will be playing while I sleep tonight. I'm expecting some really ******-up dreams, because everytime I play a Hendrix album before I go to sleep, I get really crazy dreams.
